Next to make their way into The COMPLEXA is the extremely talented JR Hartley. James is an Ibiza based electronic music artist, broadcaster and record label owner. He cut his teeth in the north of England writing music and DJing for fun, then in the early 00s he and a friend decided to form a music act and have been releasing music and DJing around the world since.

As we commence this electronic interstellar journey across the zippy planes of the Milky Way, a landmark comes into view. We're getting faster now, fleeting towards her at the speed of light. Her gravitational pull brings us closer, spinning at breakneck speeds. Singularity. Darkness. Upon opening our eyes we're enraptured. This place is different. "We've entered The Complexa".

Now based in Ibiza James has created his JR Hartley solo alias to explore all facets of his musical tastes ands become more involved with the local music community. You can hear him with his regular show Time & Space on Openlab FM, on The JR Hartley Podcast available on Acast as well as live sets in some of Ibiza's smaller, more underground venues such as Malanga and Las Dalias, playing to his friends, the locals and the more curious visitors.        

In this mix for The Complexa JR has delved into lots of different styles, genres and bpms, the only boundaries being all the music has a distinctly electronic flavour.
