The Darsh Sessions returns for 2023 ready to fill your dance floor grocery cart with a steady selection of freshly baked afro beats and horn-filled house treats. No canned goods here, baby! Recorded during a January twitch stream, this month's set begins by exploring the aisles of this new year's most recent afro house offerings before shifting gears to a more uptempo housey feel, highlighted by a number of bonafide staples, including a tribute to the late Maxi Jazz, lead singer and founding member of the legendary dance-band Faithless, who recently passed away at the end of 2022. We stock all genres here at The Darsh Sessions and Faithless is no exception. They say you shouldn't shop for food on an empty stomach, but I have to disagree. After an enforced break due to a computer disaster I was back in business this week with a new webcam and some new tunes. This one wasn't free of tech issues - my glitchy USBs lost all my cue points halfway through so I had to play things pretty safe, and there's a bit of slightly shaky mixing. Tunes were good though!

Our Italian brother, Mauro Vecchi is back with a spectacular episode including a guest mix from Rome based veteran, Massimo Voci.
Massimo Voci has been a DJ and producer for 30 years. He spent his life at Radio Capital (IT) where he produced various radio programs, including his saturday night show "Adventures in a Disco", the daily immersion in the great classics of funky/disco and soul have forged him for his sets and productions. He has his own label, Black Moka Recordings, and his name has appeared in the billboards of Italian and international clubs and festivals (Worldwide Festival by Gilles Peterson in FR / CH edition, Greece's Shapes, Umbria Jazz, Villa Medici, Cavo Fest), and in concerts by giants of music such as that of Genesis at the Circo Massimo, or with the Chic in piazza del popolo in Rome. He teaches at the Master in Radio at the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples. Putting his hands spinning in different genres from disco to house passing through global beats, his sets have no limits! You can find him heating local and international clubs and festivals' dancefloors during the weekends. Born in front of the sea in Calabria, he grew up artistically in Rome, he can't stand still and when he is, he paints.
