Nova is a term from the scientific field of astronomy. It describes the burst of brightness in a binary star system caused by a transfer of matter from one component to the other. During this process, enormous energies are released in form of explosions. This reactions leads to radiation in the optical and infrared spectral range. Therefore it‘s visible for human. Be it a terra-, aqua or supernova, all of these processes impressively end old conditions and create thereby something new. Nova is an eternal cycle of passing and coming into being. The first Remix Part of the Nova EP consists of three Remixes produced by Überhaupt & Außerdem, Feinheitsbrei and Savu. Feinheitsbrei presents his version of Aquanova with audible references back to the original complemented by his own touch. Smash Bang label manager and pioneer of Australian downtempo house music is back. After his recent album release 'Solitary Collusions' The Oddness brings you remixes of 'You Don't Know' featuring vocals from Melbourne based pocket rocket and ultra-talented Lil Magdelena. 

Firstly on remix duties, Smash Bang are over the moon to have internationally renowned Kermesse from Argentina, who have had a huge impact on the downtempo and world house scene over the last few years. Kermesse's infectiously funky and colourful take on 'You Don't Know' smells of witty bumpy synth work and a fun time steeze with crafty vocal layering. Secondly on remix duties, the label welcomes Jake Jurant the Sydney based producer with a background in chillhop and lo-fi flavourings, his warm broken backfoot bop of 'You Don't Know' takes the track in a completely different direction with warm hip hop tones. Rounding out this premiere package the Oddness has added an instrumentally driven, uber funk'n re-do.

Ruben Coslada fasziniert uns mit seiner neuen EP "Archipel", indem er den Wechsel der Gezeiten in ein groovig knarziges Gesamtpaket komponiert hat. Wir
spüren in "Calima" dem sandigen Ostwind der kanarischen Inseln nach. Die Sicht ist leicht getrübt, das Licht rötlich gebrochen und die trockene Luft fegt über die Archipelgewässer.

Wie in einem luziden Rausch webt Dani Posadas Remix eine weitere Ebene aus knackigen Wüstenklängen in ihre Interpretation, während Matija uns mit einem entschleunigten Remix tiefer ins mäandernde Traumland entführt.

Ebenso wie die Logik des Archipels auf die Vielfalt der verschiedenen Inseln verweist, werden die vom Meer belebten Räume in dieser EP im zweiten Track
"Taoro" versinnbildlicht und in einem ständigen Fluss der genüsslichen Verlangsamung zelebriert.

Denn auch in der Philosophie stellte Gilles Deleuze über das Archipel fest: "Die Welt besteht [...] aus fließenden Beziehungen, aus Inseln und dem Dazwischen,
aus beweglichen Punkten und gewundenen Linien."

On a journey without the time and a precise destination, I meet a Naples seen perhaps for the first time or never seen at all. A walk never happened or happened only in my blurred and clouded thoughts. 
The reflection of the mystery of this city, the whispers from the balconies, ancient stories that smell of the yellow tuff that supports the buildings, the dust that you do not see but is there. 
Because if you stop for a moment and close your eyes in those narrow alleys, you will see that dust rising among the voices coming from stories of ordinary people, each with its own burden, but you will feel them familiar because very close to you, to your experience, to that of all.
