Without holding his breath or glancing back, Steyoyoke's newest artist Aaryon steps forward and plunges himself straight into the deep end with his debut EP 'Fairy Tales'. Comprising of two originals, a remix from Ran Salman and two remixes from Animal Picnic, this release is sure to leave its mark.

The title track is a solid first release and a fine introduction of things to come from this artist. Possessing an exotic energy and hypnotic vibe, 'Fairy Tales' is driven by a strong momentum, that dominates and pushes you beneath a surface of beats. Deep bassline kicks and thrumming techno vibes are harmoniously laced with intense melodies that genuinely evoke a sense of fairy tale madness.

Ran Salman is next in line to flavour 'Fairy Tales' with his sound and puts forth an edgier, slightly darker version. The intensity is a little more progressive and a smidge dirtier, but it mirrors that exact same drive and momentum from the original. 

Track number three is the Club Edit from Spanish duo Animal Picnic, who are taking up remix duties with Steyoyoke for the first time. Their interpretation of 'Fairy Tales' seems to have more punch and attitude, which definitely boosts 'Fairy Tales' with an added sense of presence.

Their second remix brings soaring key changes, beautiful transitions and smooth basslines. Layers of deep percussion are infused with broody undertones, creating a beautiful platform of warm rich sounds. 

'Chlorine' is Aaryon's second track on the EP and it bares a harsher, sharper quality, then is heard on any of the other tracks on this release. Laden with sparse synth riffs and a bouncy techno jive, this track is both powerful and commanding. It is also another testament to support Aaryon’s talent and skill.

My Favorite Robot aren't afraid to pay homage to their influences, as evidenced by this podcast. The basis is formed by a nice foundation of deep techno, yet al the garnish is formed by some synthpop, african drum patterns and wavey disco.

My Favorite Robot tries to maintain the spontaneity of their DJ sets in their live performances, in accordance to their mission of ignoring borders and broadening the definition of electronic music in order to deliver it to as many music lovers as possible: “When we were rehearsing for our first live shows, Voytek suddenly started a spontaneous jam of Alice in Chain songs. It’s his very first Steyoyoke podcast since joining the family and it highlights exactly why this producer is pushing forward with immense pace and speed. Aaryon’s signature sound and vibe is mirrored perfectly right throughout this mix and u will find yourself being happily infected with goose bumps and bliss filled smiles.

Monumental times have arrived for Steyoyoke Recordings, as they venture into unchartered waters. This new project accumulates for years of hard work and marks the release of their very first album titled ‘Equilibrium’. The Steyoyoke artists are united within a unique concept, that utilises the four classical elements of fire, air, water and earth, bringing you a creative expression that reflects a state of balance between art, music and the natural elements. Each track is an original production, however they are grouped accordingly to symbolise a particular element that represents the tracks sound and vibe. In its entirety, the whole album creates its very own state of ‘Equilibrium‘.
