Joi N’ Juno is the new project from singer, composer, multi instrumentalist, producer and audio engineer David Baluteau aka “Damny”. 
David started his musical career 25 years ago as the founding member of “La Phaze”, quickly establishing a strong reputation and cult following with his energising live performances. La Phaze toured extensively for 14 years, playing more than 700 shows in 35 countries and recording 5 albums, while also collaborating with artists such as Gogol bordello, manu Chao and Keny Arkana. 22 years later  La Phaze maintains their loyal fan base and recently finished a nationwide tour of France.

David has joined Manu Chao and Radio Bemba as keyboard player and back up singer for their European and usa tour and also Calypso Rose for the tour of her last album “far from home”, which obtained a French music award.
These years of experience shaped David into a highly skilled studio producer.  drawing on these strengths he built his professional studio “96db studio”, where he mixes and produces for artists such as Keny Arkana, Sol Pereyra, Yawdel, Orange Blossom, Elephanz and others.. His skill set sees him adapting to create musical works for synchronisation parts for TV shows and advertising, for prestigious companies like Bmg UK, Score Addiction and BAM Music. He was honoured with a Production Music Award in 2012.

In 2022, David Baluteau embarked on a new creative journey, creating his latest project “Joi N’J	uno”. The sound of Joi N’ Juno blends warm vintage keyboards, funky guitars and grooving basslines with triumphant horns and heady vocals. Joi N Juno fuses influences from African and tropical funk and disco traditions, splicing these spicy outernational flavours with the slick production of modern disco & the punch of house beats to create an intoxicating and invigorating recipe that challenges anyone to sit still! 

Joi N’ Juno has seen solid support from artists such as Folamour, David Penn, Nickodemus & Tiger Balm and has been remixed by scene luminaries such as Art of Tones & Hotmood.

In 2023 David started to record his first solo album under the new moniker, titled “Samemala”, which is signed to Canopy Records, scheduled for release in early October on vinyl and digital format, followed by a tour of live shows.

Joi N’Juno is a project of soulful liberation. It is the sound of joy and the sound of triumph in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

Regarded as one of London’s “leading disco labels”, The Disco Express first began as a monthly loft party in March 2017; hosting the globe’s biggest house & disco DJs at the former 1940's Shoreditch railway station.

The Disco Express is building a strong catalogue of original disco for 21st century dance floors and this train ain't slowing down anytime soon...

Charlie Price is an energetic 21-year-old House & Disco DJ based in London, known for his high-energy performances and deep connection with his ever-growing fanbase.

Originally from Cornwall, Charlie’s passion for music ignited in 2019, with his career gaining
significant momentum during the 2020 lockdown. Influenced by icons such as The Shapeshifters, Sam Divine, and Jellybean Benitez, Charlie quickly built a loyal following through his Twitch streams, hosting his own popular “Saturday Revolution” show for over a
year.

Charlie’s dedication to his craft has led to appearances at some of the most renowned
venues and events in the UK and beyond. 

He has DJed at the likes of: Brixton Jamm, Blue
Marlin Ibiza London, Lovezoo, & Night Tales, among others, and played alongside iconic names such as K-Klass, Utah Saints, Norman Jay MBE, DannyRampling, and Shades of Rhythm.

In 2023, Charlie won the Local and National DJ Award for his passionate mixes, with his
“Salsoul Tribute” mix being selected by Point Blank Music. 

Supported by industry legends like Mike Dunn, Michael Gray, and Jellybean Benitez, Charlie’s profile has continued to rise.

2025 has already been a standout year, with Charlie playing alongside some of the biggest names in the House & Disco scene, including Dr Packer, Michael Gray, Danny Rampling and many more. He has also played at Defected HQ Basement and cemented his place as a rising star in the industry.

A major milestone for Charlie in 2025 came with the release of his remix of Michael Gray & Tatiana Owens’s Season High on Sultra Records. The track performed exceptionally well in the Pre-Order Charts, breaking into the Top 10, and was also selected as Record of the Week on Mi-Soul Radio.

In 2024, Charlie had the unforgettable opportunity to warm up for The Shapeshifters at his
London gig at Stereo in Covent Garden which was a full-circle moment that led to a back-to-back DJ set with one of his biggest inspirations. 

Charlie’s guest mixes for Mi-Soul Radio with Michael Gray, Select Radio with James Foxx & Dipz Mistry, and even an appearance on Lenny Fontana’s NYC show has opened up even more doors for him for the
future..

Charlie is now poised for even greater success in 2025 and beyond, with new opportunities
on the horizon
