The Disco Express proudly presents Back to Classics, the highly anticipated new EP from Dubai-based Brazilian artist Gabriel Deb.

Back to Classics is a love letter to house music's enduring heritage. From the iconic 90s piano riffs in "Turn Around" to the funky guitar licks in "Just a Little," and the ballroom-inspired elegance of the "Vogue Dub Mix," the EP brims with soulful vocals and authentic grooves. Gabriel Deb seamlessly weaves the past, present, and future of house music, capturing its essence and staying true to its roots.

House music’s foundation is built on the values of inclusivity, freedom, and self-expression — ideals long championed by the LGBTQ+ community. In honour of that legacy, Back to Classics will debut during Pride Month, amplifying its themes of empowerment and unity.

Lead track "Turn Around," featuring powerhouse vocalist Michelle Weeks, channels the energy of a euphoric night out. Infused with gospel soul and diva energy, it captures the thrill of connection and the joy of losing yourself in music.

"Just a Little," is an anthem dedicated to marginalised communities. Featuring a commanding vocal performance by J Fitz, the song delivers a powerful message: stay true to yourself, even in the face of adversity. With its infectious breakbeat and funky grooves, the track embodies both strength and emotion.

Gabriel Deb brings a refreshing authenticity to the electronic music scene. Drawing inspiration from legends like Kerri Chandler, Mousse T, Jamiroquai, and David Bowie, his sound masterfully blends classic house with groovy, soulful, and jazzy undertones. Known for crafting original tracks and writing heartfelt lyrics, Gabriel has gained recognition on esteemed labels, including Groove Culture and The Disco Express.

His productions have received support from industry titans like Michael Gray, and collaborations with house music icons such as Lee Wilson and Michelle Weeks further solidify his place in the genre. Gabriel’s radio show Sunny Galaxy showcases his ability to bridge classic and modern sounds, while his residency at Cloud 22 in Dubai demonstrates his prowess as a live performer.

Celebrating their 50th release as a label in May 2023, The Disco Express endeavour to support new underground artists from across the globe as well as working with legends of the dance music scene Barbara Tucker, John Morales, Michael Gray, Michelle Weeks, Art of Tones and most recently Dave Lee.
