Hailing from Wales, UK. He began DJing in 1996 before studying audio engineering at Alchemea College, London, graduating in 1998.

His breakthrough came in 2009 with a remix of Conscious Mind on Tharsis Records, alongside Hy2RoGeN, followed by a remix of Ben Delay’s Inner Circle on Techtone Records. Between 2009 and 2010, he released multiple remixes and originals across various labels under differing aliases. 

In 2010, he stepped back from production to focus on family life. Now, with renewed passion and fresh ideas, Sugarbrn is ready to reconnect with artists and labels to create new music.

DJ & Producer Ben Banjo Field loves to mix Funky, Disco & Soulful House Tunes with an uplifting summer vibe.

Creator of "The Discography Lessons", a project aimed at helping people overcome mental health challenges through music, which he has now turned into a Record Label - www.thediscographylessons.com

With tracks out on Midnight Riot Records, Groovy Firehorse 66, Spincat Music, ChessBoard Music, Soulful Evolution and Walk of Shame, you can catch him at the Corp Yard in Cardiff most Saturdays where he is the resident DJ.
