Tony Momrelle, one of the UK’s most significant and exciting soulful singer-songwriters, is back with a euphoric new single delivering the message, loud and colourfully clear, that this, entirely, is his time.

Fly is Momrelle and Momrelle alone. Where oft before the artist has aligned his incredible talents to the interests of others, here he cuts through with his own personal agenda built upon the funky cut ‘n’ thrust of snappy breakbeats and a soaring promise of love and life without bounds.  It’s a soulful sonic boom.

Reel People’s bonus deep soul-house remix is also included, which blends layers of lush synths and pads to sweet 4-4 drums for an ultra-tasteful house alternative.

Tony Momrelle has been a student of music since the age of eight. One of the UK soul scene’s finest contemporary exports, he has worked with everyone from Whitney Houston to Sade, fronted legendary band Incognito for over 10 years, and continued to steer Reel People alongside Oli Lazarus. His new EP follows a long line of quality Reel People Music releases including Amazing, Star, Golden Lady and Time, but this is his first solo venture for the imprint.


A fully immersive new single preceding a longer, seven-track due next month, Fly signals the beginning of some serious new Momrelle momentum.  He’s ready for take-off....

IMAANI’s career has been quite a journey for this country girl from Derby who jumped on a train to London at the age of 19 and never looked back.

Nurtured by the legendary JOCELYN BROWN, IMAANI’s talent was soon discovered with cousins CARLEEN & JHELISA ANDERSON & TALKIN LOUD’s URBAN SPECIES all taking her on tour.

British Soul Institution INCOGNITO was IMAANI’s next port of call as she became a permanent fixture on their perpetual live show and on their recording’s as she featured on the albums ‘BENEATH THE SURFACE’, ‘ADVENTURES IN BLACK SUNSHINE’, ‘BEES + THINGS + FLOWERS’, ‘ELEVEN’ & ‘TALES FROM THE BEACH’.

Another highlight and in her own words ‘the biggest night of my life’ saw IMAANI perform to well over 100 million people and finish second in the 1998 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST. 

In recent years, IMAANI has formed a stirring partnership with London House music crew COPYRIGHT, delivering the anthems ‘WIZEMAN’, ‘BRING ME LOVE’ & most recently ‘NOBODY’, all on DEFECTED RECORDS.

‘FOUND MY LIGHT’ Part 2 includes the original version produced by label heads REEL PEOPLE and a stunning new remix by New York house legend FRANKIE FELICIANO.

Representative of how the Internet can aid in creating music, the Foreign Exchange started when Little Brother rapper Phonte heard a beat on Okayplayer.com by Dutch producer Nicolay and asked if he could lay some vocals over it. Nicolay agreed, and the song "Light It Up" appeared shortly after as the B-side to Little Brother's 2002 single "Whatever You Say." Relying mainly on instant messaging and email, the duo continued to work together, with Nicolay sending beats to Phonte, who would add vocals and send them back until they had enough tracks together to form an album. Not once during the entire process of making their debut, Connected, which came out in 2004, did the members of the Foreign Exchange speak over the phone or in person. Due in part to an increasing production load, Nicolay moved to the States, and Leave It All Behind, the second FE album -- more R&B-oriented than the debut -- was recorded. Released in 2008 and featuring a handful of stunning videos, its lead single, "Daykeeper," was nominated for a 2010 Grammy in the category of Best Urban/Alternative Performance (and lost to India.Arie's "Pearls"). After assisting two of their associates, YahZarah (The Ballad of Purple St. James) and Zo! (SunStorm), with albums, the Foreign Exchange released Authenticity. All three albums were issued in 2010 through The Foreign Exchange Music. A DVD/CD set, Dear Friends: An Evening with the Foreign Exchange (2011) and a two-disc set of remixes and new songs titled The Reworks (2013) preceded the group's fourth studio album, Love in Flying Colors.
