My sound is appealing to me, but I can't structure the sounds in a good order. Like ocean waves. If it was at least like the waves of a lake or river, I'd be able to structure my music as tasteful waves of sound.

I want to play among the waves of sound(329)

This one's pretty typical of how I tend to compose music - I often create a drum beat I like, then add a bass and build around that. The main inspiration for this ditty was basically to play to a less common time signature, in this case a 7/8 rhythm. That reminded me of the funny 'yes, but yellow' meme circulating out there on the internet, so I whipped up this quick image in Photoshop to go with it (note the yellow slice is 1 eighth of the pie).  😊

I'm playing all instruments here on keyboard, except the slide guitar (dobro?), which is made up of several short loops in Garageband, sliced up to fit the 7/8 pattern I wanted)

This was a seed that Chris came up with on his acoustic guitar, adding beats, and some subtle vocals, then shared with Josh and Stephen. They are always excited to work on Chris' songs, because he always comes up with magical tunes.

  Josh was first in line, adding his five string fretless bass, then the organ part. Stephen used Josh's chord structure to come up with his awe-inspiring, monster electric sitar part. After they both laid down their parts, Chris added the electric guitar you hear at the beginning, too. 
  The song was about twice the current length when Chris made it, but Josh chopped off the second half, as the crescendo fits right into the 2/3 slot now. This was mixed as a team effort in BandLab, too, which is a rarity, given both Stephen and Chris are expert producers. 

  This is an example of a song Chris came up with, that was taken to the next level by Josh and Stephen. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

My earliest musical memories are of a small home on Williams Street, where my family moved when I was three. After dinner, my father would play hymns on his Conn organ, and I would sing along. That simple, shared ritual was my first introduction to music.

Our time at the organ came to an end a couple of years later when we moved, and my father's schedule became busier with teaching, pastoring, and graduate studies. I soon moved on to singing along to albums of musicals, and eventually, my mother became my first piano teacher. But I'll always remember that it was my father who first gave me a love for music. This piece is in his memory of him.

On Williams Street

I'm so thankful to be a songwriter! Feels good to express like this. Just letting loose! This by far is the most different song I've ever written. Circumstances can hit you in crazy ways. Who would've thought my favorite dinosaur would be the title of a song lol. It surprised me but I went with it. The glorious Ankylosaurus, built like a tank. There are some very cold hearts out there, that tell lies, that are just so cruel, that betray, wanting to cause harm. Go ahead, try...because you'll just break your teeth on me...goodbye. Thanks for the song:) I've become an Ankylosaurus. This song was inspired from quite a few situations that happened within the past year. For all those out there who have encountered, conquered and moved on from those kinds of people, people who are really just unhappy.  Hey, you're an Ankylosaurus too! It might be a while before I post another song, hopefully I can get it tuned soon!
