Split #1 marks the debut of a new vinyl series, to be hosted on the Various Artists catalogue of Pi Electronics. The split series will be bringing two artists on the same vinyl, with this very first release presenting music by Greek producers Fragedis and Nemmett.

Coming from different backgrounds of electronic music, prolific figure of the Cretan islands’ dance scene, Fragedis and one of the Athenean founding members of the ᾽π᾽ crew, Nemmett, contribute their sharpest weapons to this release.

On the A side, Fragedis delivers a techno/breaks cut of dystopian melodies and vocal samples with his opening track “Flantza”. His second track, “Klirish” blends industrial leaning percussion with Detroit techno flavored synths.

On the flip side, Nemmett returns with his trademark industrial / breaks sound, in a hypnotic, rap vocal atmosphere with the track “Altars”. His broken beat influences go more noise with his second track “Teeth”, which concludes the B side of the vinyl.

With the 10th anniversary of the π project this year, Pi Electronics proudly presents the second Remixes 12” of the label’s various artists series, featuring remixed tracks from the “Divide & Rule” compilation. Following the first record of this compilation remixes concept, “Variable Remixes” in 2021, we now bring you the second instalment: “Divide & Rule Remixes” (PEVA04). Original tracks by Stave, Lycurgus, Kondaktor, and Elements of Joy are remixed by label favourites Samuel Kerridge, Templeyard Studios, Monrella, and Sawf. From the IDM-leaning industrial/noise touch of British artist Samuel Kerridge and the dreamy/slow industrial sounds of Athens' Templeyard Studios on the A side, to the noise techno chaos of Birmingham’s Monrella (Mick Harris) and the sonic treatment of Greek techno pioneer Sawf on the B side, this release showcases four tracks for enthusiasts of different tastes, crafted by legends in their own right.

SPLIT#4 is the final release for the 10th anniversary year of the π project, featuring Elements of Joy (a.k.a. UVB) and Stave, both returning to the label after their earlier appearances with PI08 and PI07 respectively. The vinyl release showcases six original tracks—three from each artist—with bonus tracks included in the digital release.

On the A-side, Elements of Joy delivers 3 original tracks of New-Beat leaning techno, including one song that features vocals by Zanias.
The opening track, "Prutaneousa (A1)" connects the dots between his previous entry on the label and this one with the use of retro, 80s inspired vocal samples, but this time on a rather driving beat sequence than an industrial/noise one.
"A Master of Distress (A2)" dives deeper into a hypnotic mood while “Vampiric Habits (A3)” takes it even further to an ethereal atmosphere through the input of Australian vocalist Zanias.

On the B-side, Chicago producer Stave presents his signature hypnotic, broken-beat techno. The side opens with "Weingart (B1)", a characteristically Stave textured track. "900MPH (B2)" combines IDM elements with dynamic broken rhythms, while "Capital, Selves (B3)" blends experimental with Grey Area influences.

The digital release includes two more bonus tracks: an energetic EBM techno piece by Elements of Joy and an atmospheric techno by Stave, completing this diverse split release.

SPLIT#4 is a fitting close to the project's milestone year, celebrating a decade of our π vision.

A2. Elements of Joy - A Matter Of Distress

We're back again! This time with an artist whose emotional depth struck a powerful
chord with us: Pierre-Berge Cia. On UNKNOWN BODY FEEDBACK, Pierre delivers a visceral
sonic exploration through voice, guitar and electronics, drawing from the raw energy
of EBM, the atmospheric depths of 90’s electronica, while seamlessly merging these
elements into dissonant technoid structures on the verge of collapse. And for remix
duties? We’ve got some heavy-hitting material from an incredible lineup of guests.
Kicking things off, we have the renowned German electronic artist Daniel Myer. With a
career that stretches across more than two decades, Daniel has made a significant
impact on a variety of genres like industrial, electro or IDM — and has worked
alongside legends such as Depeche Mode, Front 242. His work spans multiple aliases,
including Haujobb, Architect, and his latest venture, Rendered.
Next, we’re excited to feature Second Tension, a project from Greek producer Stavros
Tilkeridis. With nearly 30 years of experience, Stavros has traversed everything from
loop-based composition in the vein of Pierre Schaeffer to spiritual, psychedelic, and
ambient music, ultimately shaping the dark, mystical techno sound he’s known for
today.
We’re thrilled to welcome back Maze DK, a Polish DJ and producer now based in Berlin.
Her crafts merge experimental, techno and EBM with haunted, factory-like atmospheres.
The word “industrial” is a mere euphemism here. An active member of the community,
Maze DK collaborates with queer-feminist collectives, including High Queer and Golosa
where she holds a residency.
Finally, Seoul-based Purusha brings her signature blend of driving dark rhythms, and
experimental textures. She has carved out a unique niche in Eastern Asia and beyond,
notably through her involvement with Volnost Club and the GwyMyeon music label — two
projects whose subversive spirit holds a special place in our hearts.
