The Love Edits Vol. 10 is dedicated to the infamous Salsoul Records Label.

Salsoul Records was an American New York City based record label, founded in 1974 by the Cayre brothers. Salsoul issued about 300 singles, including many disco/post-disco 12-inch releases, and a string of albums in the 1970s and early 1980s. Artists such as The Salsoul Orchestra (led by Vincent Montana Jr), Aurra, Skyy, Inner Life, Rafael Cameron, Edwin Birdsong, Instant Funk, Loleatta Holloway, Civil Attack, Double Exposure, Love Committee(Gold Mind), First Choice, Joe Bataan, The Strangers, Moment of Truth, Vaughan Mason & Butch Dayo, Carol Williams, Jocelyn Brown, and Charo were at one time part of their roster.
This is my almost 2-hour-long tribute featuring edits, remixes and reworks by the best of the best reworkers out there.

Initially this was supposed to come out on the HOUSE MASTERS FRANKIE KNUCKLES Compilation on Defected.
To make a long story short... it never did, I was given the blessing from Judy Weinstein (Def Mix Productions Founder) along with Hector Romero to do as I please with this version.
I did this with my keyboardist Erik Deutsch the day after I attended Frankie Knuckles funeral because I felt like I needed to do something not just in his honor but to continue to raise awareness of who this ICON is and undoubtedly none of us house heads should ever forget.
The whistle song is what introduced me to his music so it was only right that I created a version that captured the soul & beauty of the original BUT I wanted to give it more of a BALLAD feel, a version WE CAN ALL USE to close out a great party in his honor when we have them or simply to just hear at your restaurant, lounge, chill/comfort zone.

So ENJOY THIS FREE DOWNLOAD and please play it when and where ever you can no matter where you are.

The show has a great mix of original disco, house & garage tracks plus top remixes and has an uplifting groove throughout.

The show was recorded in Amsterdam on a Boat sailing down the River Amstel and the adjoining Canals. It was fantastic to see  the revellers of Amsterdam getting down, it seems everyone needs an Amsterdam Love Boat Disco in their lives! A truly magical experience.

Danny Krivit, about as New York as they come. Growing up in NYC's Greenwich Village in the 1960’s, mother, a Jazz singer, & Father, Chet Baker’s manager. Boyhood friend of Nile Rogers, The Mothers of Invention living just down the hall, & at a very early age meeting a cross section of musical legends like Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Charles Mingus, John Lennon & Yoko Ono. His upstairs neighbor (Polydor Vice President), introduced him to… James Brown. Who gave Danny his 1st white-label promo copies of "Get On The Good Foot" & "Think" by Lynn Collins.   

Earlier that same year in 1971, Danny had started DJing at his fathers club, the Ninth Circle & over the years played at most every NY club worth mentioning… including the Paradise Garage. His early “Love Is The Message” ‘Edit By Mr K’, along with hundreds of others help to secure his tittle as the godfather of the current re–edits movement. When Danny is not touring the world, he's also 1/3 of the famed NYC party 'Body & Soul', along with celebrating, now 10 years of his own 718 SESSIONS parties (Time Out “Best Party Of NYC).
