of pirate radio and NYC club legends, over a decade of experience behind the decks has distilled a sonic signature built around a deep knowledge of dance music and blistering technique. Through his record labels Darker Than Wax and Super Enjoy, Dexter Colt has been pushing obscure sounds forward.

Always on the hunt for lost cuts and new talents, Dexter Colt is a mainstay in the Singapore scene and a familiar face across Asia, having shared his sounds at celebrated venues in the
region such as Mitsuki (Tokyo), West Harlem (Kyoto), Mihn (Hong Kong), Cakeshop (Seoul), and Potato Head (Bali). Dexter Colt has released several EPs since his debut in 2023 on his own labels as well as Los Angeles label Low Recordings, with several more releases slated for2025.

Coming to you live and direct from the Funky Seshwa at Good Room's hi-fi dancefloor, The Bad Room, we have an archived live dj mix from one of Brooklyn funkiest, Adeline! 

The mix is from February 20th, 2020 and features funk classics, soulful grooves, and some house that got the floor running at peak time before we had a live performance by Jitwam!

Funky Seshwa Mix Series 003: Adi Oasis (DJ Set) Live In The Bad Room 2.20.20

Definitely one of the illest mixes in the archive - we got the legendary Marley Marl live from our party with him on 3.28.19!

This mix is special because it takes Marley out of the box as not just a hip-hop DJ but an OG NYC staple DJ, playing the sounds that influenced him on his come up. Expect sounds from 1980's New York, classic funk + David Mancuso inspired tracks, and one of Marley's true loves: hard-hitting house music!... all with Marley's trademark turntable skills that make him one of NYC's finest party rockers.

Back from hiatus, the Seshwa mix series returns with episode 5 featuring the MAYOR of Mexico City's dance music scene, @Paurrro, for a solid 2 hours of peak-time house music!

Paurro has dedicated herself to sharing music as a DJ & cultural curator, creating spaces to elevate the artists in her community. Paurro is also well known for her allegiance to the LGBTQ+ community in Mexico and beyond.

She is the head of booking and programming at Aire Libre, Mexico City's eclectic radio station where she hosts a weekly show called Femme Soul.
