Its been more than six months since I’ve had the last chance to play some music in front of a crowd. I tried to put all of my hope, my love & dedication as well as my anger into this DJ mix. This journey reflects what I would be playing in the morning hours at a club such as KaterBlau and some melancholic-melodic moments to just make you fly away. We're takin' it easy today with LADS' fantastic summer sip: the Slow Comfortable Screw Against The Wall. A riff on the Screwdriver, with Sloe Gin in place of Vodka, the Slow Crew cocktail family emerged in the 80s. LADS' version takes you on a sweet and sexy downtempo ride, perfect to while away a hot late summer night.  

Who are LADS? One German. One South African. Germafrican if you want. Meeting online (not Tinder), the two technical creatives ditched their failing modelling careers to make electronic music that babies are made to... This journey has led to the duo releasing on labels such as Lost & Found, Akbal, Nie Wieder Schlafen, Buddha Bar and seen their music supported by some of the biggest names in the industry including Solomun, Adriatique, Acid Pauli, Be Svendsen, Guy J and more. 

Being away from the clubs and festivals, the duo decided to go on a downtempo listening journey with their exclusive mix for Schirmchendrink.  "This really allows the listener to appreciate the space in between the rhythms and melodies. We named this mix after a cocktail out of the 1980s and 1990s with a racy name and definitely way too much sugar 😉  Enjoy this long comfortable screw against the wall. At least this time, it ain't in a dirty bathroom stall 😉!"

Enjoy the live recording of his set at ADE. Whenever we place this incredible musician in the Babylon crowd, something shifts. It's remarkable to experience.. His set is energetic and more than music: it's one big show.

¨Hard to express in short words how special it is to experience Burning Man. But on top of that, playing in the Maxa Art Car tied up with Robot Heart and Mayan Warrior for the first time was truly epic. Especially because our dear Deer was injured, but I can´t express enough how much appreciation, respect and admiration I have for the Maxa team for making the Deer walk through the dust in the middle of the night to shine again. I can only say, thank you Maxa and thank you all for being there.
