Al Jirdi,
member of MexikoCollective, 
began his music career in the underground techno scene in Barcelona, playing at raves in the forest and in abandoned warehouses from 2003-2007. Many years later, based in Mexico, he discovered downtempo and deep house, and was fascinated by their organic textures much more in line with the present moment and his other passions like yoga and the bansuri. In his sets, he always tries to leave a message, whether through the cultural richness of ancestral traditions or diverse artistic and cultural  expressions of the present .

The rāga saga is a series I have started to act as a cultural collectiva of my favourite artists from all over, Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "color the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey (raga) comes straight from Belgium from the divine and beautiful @sylvie-gabriel

“Music is food for your soul’ is a punchline regularly crossing Sylvie’s mind, and her soul is hungry. Leading a modern day nomad life, electronic music has faithfully followed her as it allows her to express her emotions and ever sparks her creativity.
That creativity has produced a fashion label named “Lounge Lover” which Sylvie established in 2003 in London. But fashion was not enough for the girl, and she pursued to practice her other passions at a pro level. After personal training and nutrition, music was next on the list.
Sylvie’s musical story begins growing up in the lowlands of Flanders, where the Sound of Belgium set the foundations for her future musical preferences.
Regular visits to the isle of Ibiza added the Balearic state of mind to her musical spectrum, meaning that no sound will pass without a positive and happy flavour to it.
To share the ‘good vibes’ sound she pursues, Sylvetje has a residency at Nobu Berkeley and Shoreditch as well as Blakes Hotel in London.

He started playing records in the 90s and has a background based on funk, disco and jazz music. Over the years he has gone through house music, deep house, tech house with a very personal style. Currently he plays and produces downbeat, tropical house, electro-world, deep-ethno. Recently he has releases on Shango records, Lump records, Kosá Records and Oxhala Records.

Raised in a family with a multicultural background and diverse musical influences,  Sobhan was exposed to different genres from an early age, ranging from Rock and Blues to Reggae, Spanish, French, Indian, classical and Persian music.

His interest in music and especially rhythm led him to play different traditional Persian and western beat instruments such as Daf (Tambourine) and drums. Later, he became particularly interested in electronic music which led him to pursue DJing.

Since migrating to Australia in 2011, Sobhan has been exploring his interest in electronic music and won one of the most prestigious DJ competitions in 2012, Habitat. Since then  https://soundcloud.com/sobhanofficial  supported the likes of &ME, Budakid, Matthias Meyer, HNQO, Oxia, Just Her, Way Out West - to name a few. His exposure to both electronic music and traditional Persian music in his home-country and in Australia led him to start his own electronic music production. His sounds are influenced by his musical roots and upbringing, embracing the nomadic sounds from around the world and expressing them within a modern context, creating fusions which can transcend time and place. His music is also influenced by some of his favorite producers such as Armen Miran, Hraach, Kora, DJ Sabo, NU, who have a similar approach in embracing raw and primitive global nomadic sounds.

Through his work, he attempts to create musical journeys that connect the listener to sounds that tell a story, stories of our shared human experiences, through chants, songs and sounds that are new and yet familiar. Sounds that trigger raw emotions, of longing and of homecoming, connecting us to the core of being.


His productions on labels such as Ready Mix Records, Art Vibes Records, Kosa Records, and Monada Project have gained the support of artists such as Hraach, Armen Miran, Kora, UNDERS, Maga, Be Svendsen, Niki Sadeki, Zone+, Anatolian Sessions, Savvas, VieL, George X, BiG AL aka BiGz, Amine K, and many more.
Sobhan’s passion for deep, mystical and fusion sounds has recently led him to kickstart a new musical night in Perth, Western Australia under the name ‘Solouk’. Solouk is a Farsi word which translates to ‘The journey of the mystic’. In Solouk, Sobhan and a number of like-minded friends and artists come together to bring an artistic experience delivered through audio/visual medium and introduce a musical journey around the world through their various global sounds. Solouk events have so far attracted much attention and support through the music loving community."

How are you today. How is your week progressing? We left March behind after what seemed an eternity. Starting this new month with a new set of gems for The Isolation Diaries. Let's go deep into the music and allow our brains to be soothed by sounds. 

On this Wednesday morning we return to our close family member D'Arksy. His sets and performances are favourite to us because they always manage to bring this lush vibe to our sound system.
