Flying under his STERAC Electronics alias, Amsterdam legend Steve Rachmad provides an exclusive mix of stellar 80's disco tunes. Hardly needing introduction, Steve has been responsible for classics such as the essential '95 release 'Secret Life of Machines', and has worked under labels like Klockworks, Delsin, Mote Evolver and more under a slew of aliases.

Often whirling around the grooves of Detroit techno, Rachmad is a producer, remixer and DJ, regarded by many as a champion of the genre within the Netherlands. Though his DJ sets are constantly evolving, he remains inspired by high quality disco, dub and electro from the early days.

When his birth name is on the bill, it can be anything from planet Rachmad; a realm best explored by listening to one of his extended Panoramabar sets or in the former renowned Amsterdam club Studio 80. Though one of many, Steve's STERAC Electronics alias has found him releasing classics on labels such as Tresor and M-Planet, and performing around the globe including Sterac Electronics sets at last year's Dekmantel and the Shoeless weekender at Ruigoord - a rave in a small chapel. But, regardless of place or name, Steve's gift for blending warm drum machines and synthesizers is unparalleled, and shall not go unnoticed after experiencing this mix.

Making his waves in the house and techno field is UK based Montel, who provides an exclusive mixtape of tunes.

Alongside his mixing as a DJ, Montel's productions have featured on esteemed House labels such as Knee Deep In Sound, Stereo Productions, Lost, Madtech, Avotre, Lapsus and Resonance. His releases have been championed by top flight DJs such as Richy Ahmed, Sidney Charles, Hot Since 82, Hector Couto, Sante, wAFF and many more.

More recently though, Montel’s techno output has seen him step up to a new level. One of his best selling tracks ‘At Night’, has been a main stay in the club sets of John Digweed, Carl Cox and many other of the Techno elite this year. Following this came his ‘Within’ track, which was swiftly picked up by Anja Schneider and her Mobilee Records off shoot ‘Leena Music’.

In anticipation to her performance on the Summer Stage at Summerpark, Defected Records veteran Sam Divine provides a special podcast to reinvigorate the title 'DJ under the sun'.

Based in the UK, Sam Divine originally emerged out of the Bristol club circuit with her trainspotter-knowledge of house. She's since performed at renowned festivals and venues such as We Are FSTVL, Pacha Festival, and a 3-year residency at Ushuaia Ibiza, all the while running her 'timeless-house' label D-Vine Sounds. As an artist, she utilizes aesthetics such as 80s Motown samples and shady vocal dubs to create escapist house cuts which allow the 9-5 jobber to safely parachute into a humbled vibe.

Kicking off the July festival season is Summerpark Festival, which invites artists such as Julian Jordan, Franky Rizardo, Lucas & Steve, Sandrien, ROD, Prunk, Sam Divine herself, and many more. The festival will host a total of four stages, each with their own aesthetic and sound.  With at least a 15,000 person capacity, the festival will attract ravers from all over the Netherlands to enjoy a variety of music, lush green grass for a relaxation ground, and plenty of beach-side idiosyncrasies.

It was a stunning Sunday in June. We hosted The Dunes of Babylon for the first time. Surrounded by our family crowd. Mesmerised by music. It was that Sunday that I got held up by this young artist from Frankfurt; Veturanto. 

He handed a CD. "A gift," he said, "for all that you are creating." The gesture was incredible, but I remembered thinking how am I going to play this track? I don't have a CD player anymore. 

As the universe works in magical ways we end up at a houseparty after the show. The music box dies, and all there is left was a CD player.....

We fell in love with his music. Instantly. And we know that we will work together a lot in the future.

In 2014, i spent my first Burning Man sunrise aboard the legendary Robot Heart bus. To me, it might as well have been Shangri La... 

As i looked outwards to the horizon during the peak of the sunrise in amazement, I glanced over to my good friend and told him that I would not die happily until i had the opportunity to play the Robot Heart bus at Burning Man. 

I'm truly humbled and honored to now have the amazing RH team present you with my set from the Tuesday late night hours. The set begins just as the bus parked itself in deep playa. So i had a special opportunity to welcome everyone who drove, biked, and walked over to the middle of nowhere to experience the nightly musical offerings. 

With that said, I truly hope you enjoy this experience I was grateful to share with the Robot Heart family and the countless people in attendance.

Art: Jar of Sand - Trish Dolman and friends

Jar of Sand is a large-scale (8′ tall x 4′ diameter) canning-style “glass” jar filled with plastic collected from beaches of the Pacific Northwest. By engaging people to clean up our oceans, Jar of Sand intends to create awareness and encourage action. Domestic garbage and pieces of garbage from the Pacific Trash Vortex—the massive island of floating trash—are carried across oceans and wind up on our shores, telling a story of resource extraction, production, and consumption. In this time of climate change and excessive use of fossil fuels, this art installation is a reflection and commentary on our plastic consumption and ultimately unsustainable waste. Participants are welcome to bring plastic that they have collected from the ocean and beaches to the playa and put them in the Jar. The collected plastic will be creatively layered in an over-height custom fabricated jar that will be displayed at Burning Man .

One of these beings that recently crossed our paths is the young and dapper Vander. He offered to help producing our events with nothing but love and passion. And as he quickly turned into one of the key members to run our productions and marketing, it took us some time to discover his less apparent and yet so incredible talent in music...

We’re continuing our summer cocktail menu with the Rum Runner, an exotic refreshener brought to you by VANDER. 

Originally from the white sand beaches of the Dominican Republic, VANDER is currently based in Amsterdam.  

He is the connection of all the pieces of a puzzled world influenced brain. Collecting memories and acquiring knowledge from a diverse group of cultures, it was impossible not to let them influence his musical taste. 
His sound is the result of his inclination towards spirituality, romance, and connection. All this, combined with his Latin musical influences coming from the sunny Caribbean, result in a rhythm he describes as "mambo". 

Vander just returned from his show at the Horde Cruise in Paris when he recorded this exclusive set for Schirmchendrink. Next stop is the Monastery festival by The Gardens of Babylon, where he plays as resident.
