My favourite Hungarian song. I don’t speak Hungarian apart from knowing a few words, but  some of my ancestors were from Hungary so it was definitely an interesting experience for me to give this a try. As he is working away in his shop, he dreams of his creation coming to life and the times they will share... while contemplating his life thus far..

This is about as pretty a melody as we can do. With inspiration taken from Zero7 and Cinematic Orchestra, as well as contemporary lofi and a pinch of Phil Collins' drums. Hacky & Bird guided the lofi aspects, and Yahli contributed the live drumming parts. Otherwise written and performed by impulse nine as a break from an upcoming album.

For over 20 years, impulse nine was a private home studio project, but has expanded to include musicians from Tucson and around the world. After hundreds of demos and untold hours, impulse nine is being presented to the world as a mostly-instrumental amalgam of shoegaze, hard rock, and post-rock, with influences from ambient, 90s rock, and other places.
