Stu E Skinner is a Essex based musician and singer/songwriter. He has been an active musician since the earlier 00’s and has been releasing music as a solo artist since 2011. His distinctive voice, guitar style and intimately honest lyrics combine to create a unique blend of lyric driven acoustic rock. His music and voice frequently draw comparisons to a broad selection of artists including: Fleetwood Mac, Nick Drake, John Martyn, The Foo Fighters, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Queens Of The Stone Age & Johnny Cash. In addition to his solo work Stu’s other project include the bands Flatspin & The Hit List and collaborative production and/or performance work with artist like Rosalind Harniess, Ellie Cornell, Jane Tomsett, Denial Twist and Philip Marino.

For 25 years, Phil has worked extensively in music education, teaching and managing music departments in Chelmsford and Brentwood and at Colchester Institute as the Head of School of Music, Media and Performing Arts at University Centre Colchester.
Now focussing on his freelance career as performer, composer and arranger, he is regionally and internationally known for his musical works and performances especially with Tubular Bells Live! and his orchestral works at Ely Cathedral with Jeremy Harmer and the Ely Sinfonia and collaborations with Steve Bingham of the Bingham Quartet, both live and through engaging music videos on YouTube,
Other musical activities include conducting local choirs, performing in theatre pit orchestras and working as the Assistant MD for the English Pops Orchestra (the official performers of the Hooked on Classics live tour) with maestro Louis Clark from ELO.
Inspired by musicians such as Mike Oldfield, ELO, the Beatles and string arrangers from the 1960s onwards, Phil is a multi-instrumentalist who is known for his fast turnaround on orchestral and string arrangements and original compositions. Phil worked extensively with singer Judy Dyble (Fairport Convention, Trader Horne, Giles, Giles & Fripp) as orchestrator and band member.  Phil has also worked with film composers Bob and Barn, Jon Anderson (Yes), Tom Newman (Tubular Bells) and in the 1990s the composer David Bedford. Since making the choice to go solo, this jazz inspired songstress has been touring her new material alongside her brilliantly formed 5 piece band. Polly has shared the stage with multi-platinum artist's, performed at countless established venues and has also graced the stages of many boutique festivals, including Cornbury Music Festival. She has appeared on line ups that have included Alanis Morissette, Mavis Staples, Jimmy Cliff and many more international artists. Her music has influences of Jazz, Rock, Soul & Roots, and in 2016 was chosen to perform in Derby, UK as a UKYA (UK Young Artist). Alongside her live performances, Polly has recorded with and had support from BBC Introducing, BBC Essex and BBC Suffolk.
Since recording 4 tracks with award winning producer Tom Donovan, Polly has travelled across the pond to perform a string of shows in California, where she found inspiration for her latest work. in 2019 polly recorded her debut Hummingbird EP at The Boathouse Studio. All now available to purchase from all major platforms.
With big waves being made this year, Polly is set to up the ante and surprise critics and fans alike. She can be found captivating crowds across the land with her passionate vocals and one of a kind, jazz inspired songwriting.

On Friday, 24th May 2019, two versions of my original song called Hide, produced as a Dance track, were digitally released by Nub Music.   Available as a Single and also as an Extended play version, I hope you will be able to check it out; it can be found on platforms such as Amazon, Spotify, Apple, iTunes, Deezer and Tidal.

On Friday, 19th October 2018, my original indie rock track called Too Cold was digitally released onto a range of digital music platforms including Amazon, iTunes, Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify etc by Nub Music.  To accompany the track, a rock video of Too Cold was also released on 19th October 2018.  The Too Cold track was produced by Stuart Eccles-Skinner.

On Friday, 2nd March 2018, my original rock song A Day Late was released by Nub Music onto a range of digital music platforms including Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music.  The track has been produced by Stuart Eccles-Skinner.

My original song 'Before My Heart Breaks' (which you can hear here!) went on general digital release on 09.09.2016 under Jane Tomsett Before My Heart Breaks (Nub Music).  You can find it on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Deezer, Shazam and an array of other music platforms worldwide.  That evening, I marked the occasion by singing it live at the King William IV pub Open Mic event in Pimlico, London.

 I am also very proud to be a singer/songwriter contributor to The Pocket Gods and Friends 100x30 Shakespeare verses Streaming album with the song 'As Viola'.  This album is now on general digital release and CD format.

I'm a singer-songwriter living in Colchester in Essex, and here on Soundcloud are recordings of some of my original songs with myself on vocals.  I perform some of my original songs at Open Mic events in both London and Essex.
