Progressive/alternative rock band from NYC.

Space Advocate is a groove driven, introspective project traversing the genres of acid jazz, experimental electronica, funk, and dub. The debut EP album release "Sweet Air", offers a unique blend of electronic, electric, and acoustic instrumentation with a dub funk pulse, accompanied by spoken word styling ranging from the poetic to the absurd. The latest EP album release, "A Pluralistic Universe", featuring vocalist Stephanie Rooker and saxophonist Shlomi Cohen, is a bit of a departure from the first. The electronic dub blend persists, but funk, jazz and even latin elements are most prominent: The album's sounds has been compared to Jazzanova and Brand New Heavies.
