I wrote this song after realizing how much emotional weight, both heartbreak and shame I was carrying once she was gone. 

The aftermath of love when you see the damage you caused but also endured. And how that damage changed someone else. I didn’t mean to hurt her, but I did.

With an upbeat and positive vibe, "Just Talkin'" is about the excitement of meeting a new romantic love interest and wanting to “dive right in” but knowing they should take it slow.  The song describes the sweet uncertainty of not knowing if someone is romantically interested but hoping they are feeling the same way.  It is about the fun flirtation two people give each other in the early stages of dating.
