Hiii was back on NTS radio presenting the amazing Munich trio @lyderlyderlyder for a grounding session to dive into the depth of 𝓢𝓬𝓸𝓻𝓹𝓲𝓸 𝓼𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓸𝓷.
🎷 Lyder, is a music project blending jazz instrumental practices and electronic music, by Lindsey Wang (aka Polygonia), Niklas Bühler (aka FTP Doctor), and Moritz Stahl (aka odizouu). Their fusion of jazz and electronic genres through improvisation and sound effects crafts an eclectic sonic journey from emotive soundscapes to vibrant rhythms.  
✨ November's 𝓢𝓬𝓸𝓻𝓹𝓲𝓸 𝓼𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓸𝓷 will bring pivotal celestial movements, offering both challenges and opportunities for growth.

He’s been a part of so many incredible projects: Mist, Outer Space, Organic Dial, Emeralds—not to mention all of the eternally awesome records that were released via his expert curation on Spectrum Spools. It’s a treasure trove. All that said, the vast output of John’s solo project, Imaginary Softwoods, sits firmly atop this immense pile of sonic wonder. So many of these cuts have been played on Bright Patterns over the last four years. It is a vibe I carry with me, one that’s deeply embedded in my relationship to music. The last time I heard a mix from John was 2017 and I still talk about how good it is. With all of the gratitude to everyone who listens, I hope you’ll enjoy this mix of what he’s been listening to lately. Designed as a bit of a balm for a world in pain, it covers contemporary selections with a few new age classics, reflecting the daily eclecticism of his auditory diet. Taken from Dmitry's forthcoming 'Comprehension Of Light' album, which will be released on FatCat's 130701 imprint on October 6th.

The stunning ‘Comprehension Of Light’ marks a sizeable step forward for Dmitry. A must-hear for fans of fellow 130701 alumni Max Richter, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Dustin O’Halloran and Hauschka, the LP is Dmitry’s first ever vinyl release and is a wonderfully conceived and realised work. Where ‘Collage’ was heavily augmented with an expansive use of electronics and virtual instrumentation, the new album sees Dmitry upgrade to real strings / orchestral instrumentation with a more limited use of software. ISKRA String Quartet (The XX, Radiohead, Jóhann Jóhannsson) contributed strings. Other contributors include William Yates (Memotone), Abul Mogard and Benoit Pîoulard. It was mixed by Addi 800 (Ólafur Arnalds) and mastered by Martyn Heyne (Nils Frahm, Peter Broderick, The National and others).

In places recalling Jóhann Jóhannsson and Hauschka, in others the work of Leyland Kirby / The Caretaker, or Eduard Artemiev's score for Tarkovsky’s ‘Stalker’, 'Comprehension' is a stunning album which traces a redemptive narrative arc and bears witness to a rising young talent in the field of modern composition.

LP includes dig download card (inc. 2 dig-only tracks which don't appear on the vinyl)
