The lyrics delve into the depths of a young girl's struggle with suicidal thoughts and an overwhelming desire for escape. Lead singer Anthony Shea's delicate vocal fry gently delivers the poignant lines:

"She's standing in the highway
Looking out for more
Cars headed her way
But their eyes are on the road"

The recurring lyric, "Something always leads to nothing, nothing always leads to something," not only delves into the human condition but also reflects the mindset of a depressed and searching young individual.

Crafted entirely by Anthony in the confines of his bedroom, this track showcases his prowess as a songwriter, producer, and mixer. Mastering was performed by none other than Tom Frampton, creator of "MasteringTheMix.com" who will be featuring Anthony's mix in a stem mixing contest, soon to be announced on his site. 

As the song gracefully draws to a close, an interpolated synth arpeggio, inspired by the enchanting melodies of The Legend of Zelda's "Great Fairy's Fountain," seamlessly fades into the abyss, leaving an indelible impression on the listener's soul.

The Lovepools are an indie rock duo from Los Angeles making sun-bleached, bedroom-born anthems with big hooks and bigger heart. Their debut single See You In The Funny Papers appeared in the Shameless Season 9 premiere, but their story starts long before that.

Frontman Anthony Shea has been recording since he was a kid—using cassette decks, hand-me-down instruments, and anything he could plug a guitar into. Even after studying at Musicians Institute, he kept returning to the intimate chaos of home recording. Every Lovepools track still begins and ends in his East Hollywood bedroom.

The band took shape when Anthony moved to Little Armenia and became roommates with bassist Aria Cruz, who immediately connected with his songs. The two started performing around LA, blending their influences with an unfiltered, DIY honesty.

In 2020, The Lovepools signed with Sword Music with European distribution through Sony Music Italy, releasing a run of singles including White Lies & Palm Trees which aired on MTV Italy and Sky News.  White Lies & Palm Trees - Pool House Remix earned a major Spotify editorial placement with over 90k streams.

This year, The Lovepools hit the stage at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by a performance in New York at the Jeffrey Deskovic Spring Gala. Now releasing music at a faster pace and bringing their high-energy show to bigger crowds, The Lovepools continue building their world—one bedroom recording, sunlit chorus, and chaotic live night at a time.
