I wrote this song last year in December and finished recording it on the 23 rd. 
There was no time for promoting it whatsoever ever but I intended to do so this year and here we are! 
A year later and my good friend Top Hat has made a video/wonderment for it, which I am eternally grateful for. 
I wrote the words and music, and my good friend that has recently toured as backing vocalist and guitarist with Francis Rossi of status quo, produced the track majestically at the Brook studio.

I always used to be hungover Christmas Day, sometimes too much to eat the dinner and probably disappointed my family on many occasions doing so.
My mum is called Mary like Jesus’s and I am my fathers only son, so it made some of the song very easy to write and come together very quickly like magic. 
The song is about going to see my family at Christmas and not being hungover 🤕. 
It is also about people forgetting that this whole thing is about Jesus birthday in an ever declining in faith world. 
You can interpret it how you like of course.
I am very proud of this song musically and the feeling it gives is very Christmas.

The Magic Epic grew up in suburban South London and moved to the coast after falling in love with Brighton where he began writing his own music in 2013.
 
He worked as a hod carrier and then became a full-time busker after having enough of carrying bricks and cement one snowy morning .Many years of busking has allowed T.M.E to perfect his craft and overcome his performance anxiety. His influences include John Lennon & Otis Redding but he's often likened to early Billy Joel.
 
The tracks also features Iain Hornal from 10CC and ELO on backing vocal and bass guitar whilst the videos are edited by Andy Baybutt who was behind the promo for The Verve's Lucky Man'.
