Wack-Producer und Beat-Zinker gehen bitte in Deckung. Am 21.3. erscheint das erste Album von Carpet Patrol, der neuen Band von Suff Daddy und Torky Tork. Carpet Patrol ist das Vercrackteste, was man bis jetzt von den beiden Berlinern gehört hat. Suff Daddys Trademark-Grooves und Bassline-Melodien treffen auf die sicke Soundlibary von Torky Tork, unserem Mann für den triple-weirden Shit. Eigentlich wollten die beiden nur gepflegt abhängen, GTA 5 zocken und vaporisieren. Zufällig enstand dabei auch der eine oder andere Beat. Erste Protoypen wurden bei der Betty Ford Boys Tour und Beat Geeks getestet und lösten regelmässig Massenpanik aus. So wurde aus Spass Arbeit und schlussendlich ein Album, das vorsichtig formuliert „anders“ klingt.

Carpet Patrol is a bizzare ride into the world of Berlin producers Suff Daddy and Torky Tork. Their self-titled album doesn't sound like anything you have heard from these guys before. Suff Daddy provides the grooves and bassline melodies, Torky is coming with the sick samples and a great ear for arrangements. Their music is tall, dark and grimey, a nightmare on beat street, made for the mature and strong-minded listener.

When https://soundcloud.com/themarv discovered Ilaiyaraja's Vikram, she was blown away by the many grooves of this multi talented artist.

For her third EP, she wanted to pay a tribute to his works from great 70's, 80's and even 90's indian movie scores. 
So she started digging again, carefully selecting breaks and melodies from this extremely prolific composer who was given the title of Ragadevan (King of Tunes). Each sample would be like a unique spice to her special ginger soda recipe.

So here's the blend : Heavy beats, hip hop with some house twists, big analog bass, oriental breaks, and some secret ingredients that she only knows about.

You'll be surprised by the maturity of the works of this young female beatmaker, who mastered the boombap science in only a few weeks
Beware, you may experience psychedelic hallucinations: spicy audio sensations, wild animals popping here and there, pastel colors and voluptuous oriental fragrances.

For her debut EP, The Marv pays a tribute to her origins. 
The french-lankan beatmaker selected only samples from Malaylam movie songs to prepare this unique flavored work.
Such as a tea cultivator would do, she picked carefully beat "leaves"  that her father used to sing to her back when she was a kid (Once upon a time). 
Then she dried them out on the Akai sampler, and mixed those gems with that original boom bap that only a few know. She has been trained to the secret skills of Beatmaking by her Shaolin old timer husband retired in the Parisian mountains . 
Family is an important part of this EP.
