In late 2020 Satl captured the global mood perfectly with his dense and claustrophobic masterpiece ‘Lucid Dreams’. This summer, he flips the script, channeling hope and optimism on a six-track EP – Bedroom Producer with a Dream - a rose-tinted self-reflection, perfectly suited for the summer.  

The contrast between projects shows how effortlessly versatile Satl’s productions can be. He perfectly blends influences from Jazz, Hip Hop and Electronica as he connects with vocalists DRS and T.R.A.C. as well as Auckland producer Tokyo Prose. The project shows off his growing refinement and maturity as a producer who has a great future ahead of him.

 “This project is a reflection of my story as producer. Recently I’ve been looking back at how much I have grown as an artist over the years. From making music in my bedroom to being able to live off of music and playing it all around the world,” Satl explains. “This EP is about that journey: the ups and the downs. Since its early stages I knew I wanted to involve some of my favourite people and I’m really happy with how everything came together. From the vocal talents of DRS & T.R.A.C. to production assist from New Zealand's finest: Tokyo Prose. Some of the tracks feature beautiful piano improvisations by talented Leon Cronie which I re-programmed or completely chopped up. I can only say that I'm really proud of this piece of work.”

After six years with seminal label Metalheadz, building his reputation through a steady output of Soulful Drum & Bass, Lenzman is about to embark on a new journey: launching his own label.

The North Quarter, named after the neighbourhood where he grew up, will be an outlet for both
his own productions as well as music by like minded individuals, who share a love and dedication for all things soulful. Naturally its first release is a Lenzman EP: ‘All For You’.

Taking everything that has shaped him musically and has meant something to him over the years, Lenzman is combining these ingredients to create something heartfelt. Music with imperfections,
born in heartache and pain, joy and laughter; a human celebration. Something far beyond container concepts like ‘Drum & Bass’. A classic attitude shaped in 21st century interpretations, a beautiful struggle if you will. Rather than offering a single track, The North Quarter is about reaching deeper, allowing artists a more varied pallet and more freedom. 

So then here is - the first release. Lenzman's All For You EP offers six tracks, two interludes and two bonus instrumentals. With influences from 90's Hip Hop and beyond. Real music for real people.

The ‘Synergy EP’ is 4 tracks of concise, stripped back, mature and soulful music that bumps. Perez and Spectrasoul have recently formed their own imprints, and as a celebration of this, the Synergy EP is a joint release between the artists’ labels - ‘Ish Chat Music’ (Spectrasoul), and ‘1985 Music’ (Alix Perez). The Blueprints EP marks the welcome return of the talented Toulouse based producer Redeyes. The release sees him join forces with a plethora of exciting talent. ‘100 Porsches To The Stars’ brings him together with underground LA rap hero Hus Kingpin for a lo-fi Hip Hop masterclass. He also collaborates with Mancunian don Black Josh, Children of Zeus’ infamous Tyler Daley, North
