Sommerzeit ist Salatzeit! Meteorologisch betrachtet ist es zwar noch nicht ganz offiziell die wärmste und wohl auch liebste Jahreszeit, doch auf den Uhren haben wir schon länger auf Sommer umgestellt. Ausserdem hat ja so/slow:salad eh immer Saison!

"Finalista" is my musical love letter to the contrasting worlds of Madrid's urban buzz and the tranquil embrace of Portugal's ocean vistas. Living in big city, I find myself yearning for the calming presence of the ocean, a longing intensified by my recent journey to Portugal. There, amidst the breathtaking landscapes and the warm hospitality of its people, I found endless inspiration.

As I navigated the vibrant streets of Madrid, the memories of Portugal lingered, reminding me of the enriching encounters and the sense of connection shared with my fellows. In Portugal, I reminded myself that regardless of our backgrounds or achievements, we are all "finalistas" in our own unique ways — champions of our journeys, bound by a shared sense of enlightenment and resilience.

With this compilation I aim to blend the energy of Madrid's bustling streets with the serenity of Portugal's oceanic beauty, creating a musical fusion that reflects my personal experiences and aspirations. I started this song more than a year ago, maybe even two years ago - lol. Thank you so much S.Yamagishi, Steve Vercelloni, and Stricknice for being so patient with me - haha! 

This track went through tons of arangement changes. I originally couldn't come up with any decent lyrics or vocals so I asked tons of people to join in. But in the end, this song wanted me to come up with some vocals and lyrics to get it started. Thankfully Augenmerk blessed this track with her beautiful poetry and brought this song to final fruition.
