Boss of the renowned Nocturne after-hours events and label, Jordan hails from the Northern Irish capital, Belfast. He also runs The Night Institute party with Timmy Stewart and is an aficionado in all things house, disco and Italo. Having cut his teeth as a student in Leeds, it’s back in Belfast that he’s really built himself into the respected name he is today, a fact reflected in his association with AVA Festival, where his is a staple among the local bookings. 

Last year, Jordan released the second of his ‘Nocturne Edits 002’ EPs, the follow-up to his highly sought-after first edition, which garnered acclaim from the likes of Gerd Janson, Midland and Bicep. “I have years of samples on a hard-drive, and about five soft synths I use to write music on a daily basis,” he told us then, so we’re expecting that demand to only continue.

Making his debut on Future Disco, Sicilian DJ and producer, Musumeci delivers with ‘Who’s Got the Time’, featuring vocalist, Nick Mauer.

Retro yet ridiculously fresh, this 80s inspired anthem boasts the grooviest bassline, bright synths, and colourful tones that ignite the track throughout. Nick Mauer’s vocals are the element that takes the track to new levels with a commanding flow, and playful lyrics. ‘Who’s Got The Time’ is a fun-fuelled nu-disco banger.

Kicking off the Musumeci project in the late 80s, Mauro Di Martino has produced and remixed on the likes of Bedrock, Diynamic Music, and Innervisions. His new release, ‘Who’s Got the Time’ is the first single for his forthcoming EP, ‘Discomagico’ on Future Disco.

Earlier this year Dimitri From Paris partnered with NYC singer-songwriter Fiorious to release 'Music Saved My Life' on Glitterbox. The record showcased Fiorious' impassioned vocal, which paired with Dimitri's meticulous production made for a perfect match, successfully celebrating music's ability to provide sanctuary and liberate. Now one of Chicago's finest, Marshall Jefferson, takes on remix duties for 'Music Saved My Life'. A producer often described as one of 'house music's founding fathers', known for the creation of some of the genre's most loved records including 'Move Your Body', which remains a staple dance anthem to this day, Jefferson once again accounts for his legend status on this latest delivery. Putting a club-focussed spin on the record while still allowing Fiorious' mighty vocal to shine through, Marshall's craftsmanship oozes out of this remix.

For its fourth release, Harry Agius aka Midland's Graded label has signed its first new act in the form of Montreal-based Solitary Dancer. With ‘Desire & Apathy’ being instantly familiar to anyone who heard Midland's Essential Mix earlier this year— in which it subsequently proved to be a much asked about inclusion— this eponymously titled release marks the debut of Solitary Dancer, as well as Agius' second time stepping into the role of label A&R following Hubie Davidson's appearance on Graded's ‘Regraded' sub-label last year.

From the opening moments of the EP's title track it is apparent why Aguis welcomed this release to the label, with 'Desire & Apathy' highlighting Solitary Dancer's similarly shared talent for elegant, richly-sculpted sound design and a knack for propulsive club rhythms that eschew rigid 4x4 drum patterns. 'Desire & Apathy' takes a classic electro beat and through the use of elegaic pad washes and swells of sinister bass notes morphs it into persistently engaging shapes. 

The B-side's 'Paradise Found' is a suspenseful coralling of intriguing sonic elements, with its fractured beats combined with a cinematic sense of drama and melancholy that's brought to the fore on the beatless 'Rapture Version' which brings Solitary Dancer's first release to an impressive close.

Elusive dutch DJ and producer, nthng, announces his second album ‘Hypnotherapy’ on Lobster Theremin. Previously putting out records on his own label Transatlantic, plus the likes of Delsin, Lobster Theremin and Mörk, this thoughtful long play spans dub techno, hazy ambient and mind-bending trance, traversing through different moods. 

Float away with bright and airy opener, ‘50 Flower’. Spoken word samples intercept the ambience, bringing the listener down from the clouds. A2’s ‘I Just Am’ takes the EP into dub techno dancefloor territory with bolshy, rattling percussion and assertive vocals. ‘Heitt’ is a pacy slice of machine music for the wee hours, before drifting back to softness with barely-there ‘Beautiful Love’. ‘Wave Return’ injects a dose of wigged out energy, slowly evolving from drawn out dub into an effervescent jam. ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ rolls gently - a prime slice of chunky, driving electronica. nthng’s title track, ‘Hypnotherapy’, see’s the producer return to the ambient fringes of moody techno, barely-there kicks, and shimmering pads. Rounding out the album, weightless ‘With You’ is a romantic post club track, soft, longing vocals sit upon almost bird-like sounds. Digi only bonus, ‘And Then There Was Light’ is nthng’s most ethereal offering yet.

Who’s thirsty for some delicious electronic underground beats: please welcome the fantastic Agatha Pher and join our Monday evening gathering with a sip of her favourite cocktail, a spicy Michelada.

Born and based in Barcelona, Agatha Pher is part of the new wave in the Spanish electronic music scene. Her musical career as a DJ begins in 2010 and it was in 2014, when she started to produce her own tracks and to share the journey between her unique melodies and harmonies.

The release of her remix of Georgia Angiulli’s "Deep Moan" in 2018 definitely kicked off her career and catapulted her on the radars of the global scene. And in 2019 she joined Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas with her phenomenal "Skinthings EP" including a remix by Facundo Mohrr. 
It was just a few weeks ago when she released "Unmute", her latest EP out on Kindisch, which - by the way - entered the top 40 Deep House Charts on Beatport with the original mix. 

Her Remix of Aracil’s “Kaoyama”, also out on Seven Villas earlier this year, is our favorite production of her played on a regular base here in the Schirmchendrink headquarters.
