This new Acid Avengers EP celebrates the new UK electro scene with two of his most talented ambassadors : London-based producer Nite Fleit, known for some killer records on Unknown To The Unknown, Return to Disorder and International Chrome, and Bornemouth-based producer False Persona, who just released an EP on Nite Fleit's label Atomic Alert. The result of this association is six punchy acid tracks, somewhere between funky electro and dark techno !

Who Is Arcadia - The Dog Is Scratching At The Door

Kicking off the third installment of our NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH is none other than the alien boogie commander Volruptus. The Iceland-born producer leaves his mark on every track he makes and ‘UFO Rider’ is no different - a classic Volruptus baseline with whirling, alien-like synths layered on top.

Taking the controls next is another Icelandic producer and half of Polar Attraction which is Jadzia. She’s been on a tear since she started releasing nothing but dance floor killers. She’s put together yet another electro heater for us with ‘Hycean’.

Third is Cincinnati native PTHGN. Although only bursting onto the Soundcloud scene recently, PTHGN is coming up on his 10th year in music production. The years perfecting his craft are on full display in all his tunes. Recently appearing on International Chrome’s IC10, he’s now blessed us with standout track ‘West Coast Freaks’.

Next up is someone we’ve worked with before, Lithuanian beast 5ZYL. He’s been active recently, releasing 2 sick EPs in quick succession over at PZ Records. He’s hit us with another high energy acidic track with ‘Purple People’.

Closing off this time is co-founder of Raiders, Young Lychee. A talented DJ & Producer, his tracks are always put together with pinpoint accuracy. For ‘Can’t Save Me’ he’s got 89 The Brain Child on the lyrics to make for an eerie electro classic.

Astropolis Records' DÔME sub-label is once again celebrating artists from the west of France with its 9th EP ! With downtempo dubby, IDM and deconstructed rhythms, ravy and trancy club music, and shimmering electro grooves, the release smells Astropolis next edition vibes with this multi-faceted journey including tracks by Cwtch, Too Smooth Christ, Gneiss and Slow Dimension.

With ‘Dawnfall’, Rennes-based duo Cwtch (ratio/club), bringing together Pal Parallax and Fallen Tape, plunge us into a high-voltage IDM, in a chiaroscuro universe of deep sound design.

The second track is by Too Smooth Christ (Nocta Numerica, Supergenius), a Finistère native with a love of vintage synths and original electro. Somewhere between analogue house and electro balladry, ‘Forbidden Bubblegum’ smacks of the joys of open-air bouncing and summer nostalgia.

Brest-based producer Gneiss slips us into a night-time party with ‘Capybaras Nebulae’. A ravy and trancy anthem tinged with progressive and shamanic atmospheres, with its acid line. A fine blend of contemporary club culture, reflecting his many influences.

The EP closes with the melancholy dub techno of Lou Berlinger aka Slow Dimension from Nantes, on ‘Tesla’, where organic sounds blend with catchy percussive sonorities in a luminous universe.

For its fifth release Planet Euphorique puts forward Australian-born, London-based Nite Fleit's latest release, Overcast. Her second record, Overcast is a teeth-baring soundscape guided by commanding, rhythmic spells. The record’s acidic slaps and punishing bass lines are uncompromising, recalling her darkly transcendental DJ sets. Overcast’s masterful doom is punctuated with enigmatic sparks throughout–the light beckoning listeners into the darkness and onto the dance floor.
