Ruan du Plessis aka "Ruan Josh" is the son of Multi Platinum selling Afrikaans superstar Juanita du Plessis. 

He is more than just son of one of Afrikaans music’s biggest superstars but also an accomplished actor and singer. In 2007 Ruan received the award for Best Supporting actor for the ATKV “Tienertoneel”. He has also participated in various productions; “Afrikaans is Groot” (2013) and “Gospel Skouspel” and was also cast in the successful theatre production “Droomkind – Die Storie van Josef”. Ruan co-wrote the NO. 1 Afrikaans hit “Kaalvoetkind” on Juanita du Plessis’ album “Jy Voltooi My” which generated more than 600 000 views on YouTube including a Platinum sales accolade!

Josh makes a sterling debut with "Eggo”. After a 2 year process, the demand for the album is huge. "Eggo" consists of 15 songs assisted by well-known writers such as Johan Oberholzer, Franja du Plessis, Rudi Claase and Juanita du Plessis.

It is a song close to my heart as I wrote it during a time when I was really burnt out struggling heavily with depression. Retief reached out to me in that time and helped me get out of the hole I was in. This song wants to encourage people who are going through rough times. Enjoy!
