Formed in 2023, WALS is a duo consisting of Laurent (lyrics and vocals) and Alex (music).
Coming from complementary musical backgrounds, they found common ground in a shared vision of pop — subtle yet powerful, hedonistic yet literate, sensual with touches of ambient — and decided to join forces, with the aim of continuing the tradition of the synthpop duos they grew up with, while venturing into the soundscapes of 2000s electronic music.
