Unlike the previous selectors, Marco a.k.a. DJ Soch is far from being a newcomer to the never-ending house sphere as he has been on the rise since his early stages in the mid-80s. His idiosyncratic deep and raw house productions work both on peak time sweating dance floors as well as on concentrated headphone listening. For almost 30 years, the vinyl virtuoso has been cultivating the magic power to thoroughly unleash a surprising torrent of energy all over the place during his utopian dj sets. The Black Angus Records boss has nothing left to prove today after his mind-blowing appearance on Boiler Room last year, his bubbly gigs at Berlin’s equally well-known Panorama Bar, and his ongoing residency at Serendipity, alongside the pick of the house bunch (The Black Madonna, Kink or Tom Trago). Trust us, the man did not steal his reputation.

Expect one hour of house music as we all like it: murky, groovy and bewitching. Through the classy vibes of Romanthony, 9th House or Key Tronic Ensemble, he seamlessly takes us out of ourselves into a delightful one-way house trip.

Dj since the end of '80 from the softest deep house to the rawest house, from detroit techno sound to disco’s His set is like more than 30 year long journey.

His style led him to perform around europe, france to england, germany where he performed several times at panorama bar/berghain the temple of 
european electronic music.

Black Angus Records becomes BKA Records – Beats Kickin’ Again

After a long hiatus caused by the challenges and changes brought on by the Covid period, we’re finally ready to start again. We're coming back with fresh energy, new inspiration, and a lineup of exciting new projects. But we’re also returning with a new identity.

Black Angus Records is now BKA Records – Beats Kickin’ Again.

During these past years, while working on other musical ventures, we also took time to reflect on who we are, what we stand for, and where we’re headed. One important question we asked ourselves was: could our original name, Black Angus Records, be offensive or hurtful to anyone?

We know exactly how that name came about—it was a casual moment during a dinner with friends, while enjoying a Scottish black angus steak. It sounded good to us: bold, strong, like the kind of music we love to make. But we also understand that words matter, and we would never want our name to be misunderstood or perceived as insensitive.

Music is what truly matters to us.
It’s about expression, freedom, unity. It’s about blending cultures, sounds, and stories. Without that kind of exchange, there’s no real musical—or human—growth. Music should be a bridge, not a barrier. It should bring people together, not push them apart.

That’s the spirit behind BKA Records – Beats Kickin’ Again: a name that represents our desire to start fresh, to hit harder, to resonate louder. It’s a name that feels right—full of rhythm, energy, and rebirth.

To everyone who supported us as Black Angus Records: thank you. We hope you’ll join us in this new chapter. What’s coming next is just the beginning. Stay tuned—the beat is back.
