Chris Stussy and Fabe on the terrace whilst Kleo and I took care of proceedings closing out the Chapel.

Slightly more downtempo and deeper than a lot of the mixes I've done for the series, but recently got a few bits out the wantlist I'd been after for a while like the first two tracks in the mix from Metro Area / Ian Pooley. That being said, does end up in slightly more bouncy and rolling territory, with a bit of techno even being slung in between the John Tejada tracks at the end! A lot of really nice tracks in here from over the last decade or so and some even older, a lot of favourites!

FUNKiMAN's SELECTION 0113 - Natalie Robinson Guest Mix

Sheffield's Tommy Vicari Jnr, under his V.I.C.A.R.I. moniker, steps up with some modular house on Robsoul with the Ready for You EP. Another package of floor-splittingly raw house jams to kick any party into gear.
 
 First up, title track Ready For You mixes the carefree vibes of summer terrace sets with a pounding, automated kick drum that's more suited to the warehouse, with its hard-as-titanium bass kick spine creating a pummelling rhythm. Next, Lanzaroni With You sees two worlds collide as dubbed-out synths and metallic adorned beats, jostle with smooth jazzy keys.
 
 On the flip, Chloes brings a grainy but swinging rhythm that slowly oscillates into a sub-fest with pulsing and wobbling basslines, before closer Good Morning Heartache builds on the hip house foundation - vocal chops, skipping beats, and big piano riffs all combine for a head nodding funk workout.

V.I.C.A.R.I. - Ready For You

Berlin-based producer and DJ Emanuele Barilli returns for his second release with Aterral with the highly anticipated EP, "Slowly". Consisting of four tracks, Barilli showcases his knack for crafting infectious, deep, and groove-laden rhythms. Characterized by its depth as the foundation onto which a layer of playful and sexy samples is then added, you are taken on a journey through lush sonic landscapes.

Emanuele Barilli's close relationship with Aterral shines through in "Slowly," as he continues to strengthen his bond with the label and establish himself as a key artist within their roster. With each release, Barilli's popularity continues to grow, as he graces more club stages and garners recognition as a future talent to watch.

"Slowly" culminates with a soulful remix of "I Do Love" by the talented producer Toolate Groove.

Sam Pratt is an experienced DJ who consistently hosts his own events and parties across the best venues in th UK.

You can usually catch Sam playing House, Minimal, Tech House, Disco and anything In between all over Leeds, usually down at the Greenroom where he holds a residency or at the renowned Distrikt bar in the city centre, a venue which he has been performing in for nearly a decade.

Sam regularly collaborates with local brands to bring some of the biggest names in the underground music scene to Leeds and again continues to join forces this year with RECOGNISE who together brought Tristan da Cunha, The Ghost & Samuel Deep to MiNT Warehouse as well as Dyed Soundorom & Annie Errez to new club Amber’s in Manchester. In 2023 & 2024 they also worked with MiNT Festival on a project that saw them host and build 'The Meadow stage' with their customised production and lighting, which also showcased some of Leeds very best local talent.
