The first shall be last and the last shall be first;
The Lord Jesus first comes to those he trusts or believes will serve him in the Kingdom of God. 
He expects us to live our lives according to the Gospel and in the Mercy he showed us, he died in his body, to pull those who are suffering out of the fiery furnace. We are to share that same hope and message of resiliency to the World. 🌎
The truth is that some of us he comes to first will not listen to the message and direction he has given us at the time in our lives he addresses us and, in essence, miss our appointed time of salvation. 
We cannot be saved without hearing the voice of God in his Holy Spirit and his Word directing us to our promised land.
There is an enemy who's voice is like the roaring of a lion who wants to lead us back to the land that was destroyed with fire and tempest, but Satan will not have the victory.
Those who trust in the Lord are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

Our guest this week, visiting from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is award-winning author, Barbara Venkataraman, she is 
an attorney and mediator specializing in family law.  She is also a very busy indie author, whose work I have enjoyed for the last several years without any disappointment. Her writing  is funny, straight talking and refreshing. I love it. 

 Her works include: "The Fight for Magicallus", a children's fantasy; "If you'd Just Listened to Me in the First Place", a humorous short story; and three books of humorous essays: "I'm Not Talking about You, Of Course," "A Trip to the Hardware Store & Other Calamities," and "A Smidge of Crazy", from her series, "Quirky Essays for Quirky People." 

Barbara’s “Jamie Quinn Mystery Series”, is a collection of six books, sure to please any armchair detective. Her nonfiction book: "Accidental Activist: Justice for the Groveland Four",  is a memoir she co-authored with her son about lessons he learned while working to exonerate four men falsely convicted of a terrible crime in the Jim Crow South. She has a collection of short stories; “Duck for Cover and Other Tales” and a collection of  flash fiction stories: “A Year of Shorts.”

She even has a new Young Adult novel out; “Five Fortunes.”
