Unbeyond Anthologies are pleased to present LUCID’s solo debut on the label in the form of her new EP, “Found Footage”.

Opening on a stark and desolate note with “on a dark and stormy night” that sets the tone for what is to come, this project mixes ghastly deathstep atmospheres and production with a thrilling retro futuristic horror theme. Songs such as “Good Intentions” and “Foreshadowing” throw their weight around with devastating impact, a seamless blend of old and new sonic textures.

“ALARM” slows down the pace with heaving sound design and wailing melodies, the tempo mirrored by the title track with its sinuous growls and anthemic synthwave leads. “Survive” contains frazzled flows and dizzying trap percussion, while the closer “Midnight (Credits)” ends on a delightfully ghoulish downtempo drop.

“My first EP since ‘BLOODSHED’ in 2021, and with a much more in-depth tracklist and theme. Speaking of, when starting the title track, I was very into GREYLOCK, an online analog horror with some found footage segments, with the title track directly themed to tape 10 of the series. The more general musical ideas and tone started finding their way into more of my projects of the time and continued to be fleshed out until I collected the songs and made the theme more concrete.” said LUCID. “Although not personally attached to me like my albums, I do find this to be a very important step in my music, so I hope it shows. Following the huge success of his debut album ‘Caligo’, Spor has hooked up with powerhouse producer Memtrix to present ‘Memtrix & Spor: Darkest Hours’ forthcoming on Sotto Voce/Lifted Music.  The track will be released on 14th September. 

‘Darkest Hours’ begins with a stream of deep cinematic melodies progressing into a melting pot of cutting-edge bass sonics and crisp drum grooves; accompanied by ambient vocals. The B-side entitled ‘Super Trace’ unfolds as a dark roller combined with sharp percussion sounds, certain to get a dance floor moving.

With over 1 million views on his track ‘All You Are’ on YouTube and over 5 releases under his belt at the age of 19, this is the start of a long journey in the world of drum & bass for Memtrix. "Working with Spor has definitely been an eye opening and insightful experience,” he says, “but I think more than that it's just been really fun. It always seems really natural and fluent in the studio and we bounce ideas off each other really well I think. Obviously it's an absolute privilege for me to work with such a household name who's work I respect so much, and this release is something I'm really proud of and excited about."

Dirtyphonics continues to pump the bass-driven electro beats with the release of a diverse 4-track remix compilation of their most recent EP, Write Your Future. Preserving Dirtyphonics’ iconic bass driven / drum and bass sound, the remixers prove that genres truly have no boundaries by adding their own touch to each of the original tracks. FuntCase amplifies the punk rock guitar riffs and angsty drumline of “Power Now” by adding wild build-ups that break down into heavy, hard-hitting dubstep. Habstrakt gives “Hustle Hard” the future bass treatment, adding a distinctive 4/4 twist to the original trap banger. High Maintenance makes full use of the powerful female vocals in “Free Fall” but converts the original's dubstep drops into a vision of perfect drum and bass. Finally, Infuze concludes the EP with a future bass rendition of “Since You’ve Been Gone,” slowing the original’s drum and bass tempo with anthemic synths and heavy drums.
