This song is a powerful protest against the privatization and exploitation of water, shining a light on the injustices faced by communities denied access to this basic human right. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of life without clean water, while corporations profit from this essential resource. I want to give special credit to my dear friend and sister in music, @DJShAnkAri, whose ideas and research inspired this piece. I wrote the lyrics based on her vision, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to bring it to life.

The song is raw, emotional, and unapologetic — a rallying cry against greed, corruption, and the systems that profit from human suffering. It demands that we recognize water’s true value and fight to protect it for generations to come.

*Note: ShAnkAri and I are sisters in music, though our tastes sometimes differ. We each had our own vision for how this song should sound, so I ended up creating two versions. Beneath the buzzwords of “carbon-free” and “clean energy,” this track reveals a truth rarely discussed: the so-called green revolution is bleeding the earth dry, one battery at a time.

Set to a driving rhythm with mournful undertones, the song layers irony and heartbreak. It isn’t just a protest—it’s a requiem for the valleys, aquifers, and once-thriving fields now sacrificed for silent engines and showroom illusions.

Track 2 deepens the EP’s narrative with an unflinching look at the price of “progress”—paid for in lithium tears.
