"This collaboration was written in a Ford F150 on the Mountain Magic Tour as we drove through the hills & forests of interior BC.  A "Car-llabo".  Mountain Magic is a snowboard & dj tour we do every winter in Western Canada.  We were testing the tunes at each show & tweaking the sessions as we drove from town to town, so we really feel like they are an awesome representation of the times we had on Mountain Magic 2015. "

Plates is collection of 8 prime cuts, selected and presented by Main Course's very own BOT. House music is what drove him to start DJing so many years back, and has been the main inspiration behind what we present, as a label, and individually as DJs. You'll see some familiar names on the track list, as these tunes were hand picked from from our good friends, and exciting new talents we've found along the way. The goal was to compile an album of strong house tracks that  bring something unique to the table, while at the same time avoiding the current cliches of the genre. SwAy x Willdabeast - Crossing Borders EP (Superbest Records, 2016) “Crossing Borders”is a collaborative EP from two up-and-coming producer duos. It features Willdabeast (WA), who doubles as the horn section for Michal Menert & The Pretty Fantastics, as well as SwAy (BC), one of Canada’s best Electrosoul acts. The album tells the story ofrelationship tribulations, and triumphs.  It beings with the track “Cuz I Need You Baby”, a declaration from one to another. This is the moment in a relationship when you express mutual and returned feelings of desire and passion, realizing your codependence. We’re then taken totrack 2,“OnMy Mind”, representing part of a relationship that everyone has felt. Maybe one person is traveling or often away then appears in every song, picture or place we see. In the ups-and-downs of close relationships, a time when the other person is not around is when they're constantly onour mind. Some would say this is a true indication of love. Finally, the album ends with the song “Peace Offering”. Perhaps this person was onour mind was because a fight happened. This peace offering represents making amends and giving the situation your all. This is about getting down to brass tacks, fighting for what you believe in, and never giving up.”

Alongside an Epic remix from Psychemagik - this sits nicely between house and somekind of throwback Goa Trance circa '93 to complement the release of the long-awaited second album of Psychedelic Maestro and innovator Richard Norris - this time as his Time & Space Machine Guise.

"‘Pill Party In India’ is rich with the energetic twang of Americana, carried down a highway of fast-paced bongos and live drums with interludes of blips, wiggles and ghostly soundtrails. Absolutely stunning.

The first remix comes from our pet love, Psychemagik. It’s a supurb bit of work by our friends from the cosmic forest; The bass is chunky, mesmerizing sounds fly at you gloriously in superwide stereo and there’s some cracking vocal samples added to great effect too!

To clean up, Mojo Filter delivers his ‘Ohm Shiva Remix.’ Think squelching acid basslines under traditional plucked Indian instrumentation, with strings and on-point production values and you’re about there. This has to be heard to be believed! A sheer joy!  "
