Wah Wah 45s are proud to present their debut Record Store Day special release!

In 2014 the label celebrates not only its 15th anniversary, but, with this record, its 50th seven-inch release, and it’s something very unique indeed.

Two of the imprints best love artists, East End brass juggernaut Hackney Colliery Band, and funky Canadian piano maestro Henri-Pierre Noel come together on seven inches of wax for the first time, remixed by label boss Scrimshire and superstar disco re-edit king The Reflex.

Scrimshire’s re-working of HCB’s version of Kanye West’s All Of The Lights is a horn fuelled left-of-centre club bomb, whilst The Reflex’s ‘revision’ of Henri’s classic Diskette is a disco fuelled take that’s sure to cause plenty of dance floor devastation too.

Having both on one slab of strictly limited heavyweight vinyl with gorgeous, bespoke artwork to celebrate the label’s 50th seven-incher is almost too much! Enjoy!

Henri-Pierre Noël - Diskette [The Reflex Revision]

Launched in 2010, THE REFLEX is a project from producer / DJ Nicolas Laugier, a French national based in the UK since 1998. Following on the footsteps of remix / DJ edit pioneers Larry Levan, Shep Pettibone, François Kevorkian or John Luongo, The Reflex somewhat redefined the remix rules book by using stems and multitracks to craft fresh, innovative versions (dubbed ’revisions’) from classics tracks and artists, genre-hopping through the decades and styles with ease, combining creativity and functionality with often spectacular results.
With constant support from superstar DJs, tastemakers, A-list artists and creatives to high profile brands / events through to bedroom DJ’s, The Reflex revisions are now part of the musical landscape.

Clocking over 100M+ streams, The Reflex is a multi-faceted artist that has lent his skills to ads for Louis Vuitton, Karl Lagerfeld, to remixes for the biggest names in pop and dance music, to extensive catalogue revisits for the likes of London Records, Salsoul/Westend and Zagora/Because, to a long standing collaboration with Noel Gallagher and to legendary artists like Joe Walsh (Eagles), Cerrone, Kathy Sledge, Blondie, Michel Polnareff, Nile Rodgers, Rita Lee, Kid Creole and more.
Boasting a strong online following and a loyal fanbase, including 322,000+ fans on YouTube, The Reflex is now ready to move into original productions; his first artist track “Weekend” has been snapped up by Glitterbox for release in May, with Ibiza / Malta gigs and a Defected Basement mix lined up to support the arrival of this first single.
On his own vinyl label Discolidays, The Reflex has collaborated with Because Music in Paris re-imagining the catalogue from (Daft Punk) Thomas Bangalter’s father, Daniel Vangarde, and his label Zagora while showcasing his remix work for Cerrone, Patrice Rushen, D.C. LaRue, Nile Rodgers ft Nubiyan Twist, Bruise and others to commercial and critical acclaim.

SANSE — A Life on the Dancefloor

SANSE (Marco Sanseverino) was born in Milan and started DJing at 14, spinning vinyl at friends’ parties and diving headfirst into the world of underground music. He worked in an import record store and collaborated with pirate radio stations — music wasn’t just a passion, it was a mission.

He played in iconic Milan clubs like Cristian, Santa Tecla, and Taxy, then became part of the legendary Plastic Club family, living two unforgettable years at the heart of Milan’s most radical nightlife.

In the early ‘90s, he traveled frequently to New York City, where he didn’t play, but lived the clubbing revolution: Sound Factory, Limelight, Copacabana, the scene of Susanne Bartsch — absorbing the sounds, styles, and energy of a cultural epicenter.

Returning to Italy, he brought the soul of house music to Riccione, becoming resident at Lex Club alongside a young Ivan Iacobucci, while DJs like Frankie Knuckles and Junior Vasquez ruled the booths of Pascià and Byblos. He was part of the first real Italian after-hours at Diabolika, where everything felt fresh, raw, and revolutionary.

Back in Milan, he helped launch Chocolate City, the city’s first house music night, and then Jackin Zone, Italy’s first acid house party. When the crowd didn’t understand acid yet, he doubled down — becoming resident at Matmos, one of the city’s boldest experiments.

Then came London: Substation Soho, late-night underground basements, days in record shops and nights on the dancefloor. For SANSE, every trip was a deep dive into sound and subculture.

In the late ‘90s, he introduced Italy’s first jungle/drum & bass night at Molto Plastico, becoming again a pioneer in unexplored sound territories.

Across his journey, SANSE played, danced, collected, researched, lived. He wasn’t just behind the console — he was in the crowd, in the booth, in the culture.
