Aazaad is a song that talks about freedom from the mind's cage.

Urooj

Aazaad

Asma, an Urdu word literally translates to longing which is what the song conveys; Yearning for a connection with a person. Some refer to it as pining, others as ‘Talab’. Flowing with an exceptional ease, the song’s essence is in its simplicity and the emotion which is easy to relate to. The three-minute song relies on Fingerpicking throughout to maintain the simplicity. 

The plan was never to share the song on a public platform, it was always meant to be personal. It was only after I shared some snippets from ‘Asma’ on Social Media and the tremendous response from my listeners that I decided to release it officially.

Ghum is a song about Child Sexual Abuse. It is a nameless, shapeless horror that nobody seems to believe exists when it comes their own homes.
