Philip Connolly otherwise known as Flashback is a House & techno producer from Manchester, UK. He began clubbing in the 90’s Rave/Acid era and picked up the electronic dance music bug at an early age. He Started listening to Stu Alan's weekly radio show on Key103, learning track listings, this pushed him to search for vinyl at Record Stores over the country. 

His sound is described as “Hardcore Rave and Jungle meets House & Techno.  deep grooves, sub & wobbly basslines, rattling percussions, skippy hats Fx, Pads & Stabs & Textures .cosmic

His influences are Pink Floyd  Stu Allan Slipmatt Tango DJ SS Goldie 4 hero,  Bukem, Nookie,  Roni Size, Grooverider, Photek, top buzz, A Guy called Gerald Kerri Chandler, RichNxT, Enzo Siragusa

Known for blending House, Techno, and Jungle influences - balancing underground credibility with broad appeal - Shadow Child has left his mark on both club culture and the mainstream. A former BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM resident, his impact stretches far beyond the DJ booth. He’s played a key role in major hits, including the UK number one KDA’s ‘Rumble’, while also delivering cutting-edge releases on Shall Not Fade, Hot Creations, E-beamz, R&S, and Unknown to the Unknown.

With heavyweight support from Peggy Gou, Bonobo, Gerd Jansen and Carl Cox, 2025 is shaping up to be huge. His Jungle and Breakbeat-Rave inspired album drops late in the year, and we can’t wait for what’s next.
