This is our official remix of 'Fire In The Sky' by The Midnight. 

We had a lot of fun participating in their latest remix contest. Great to see many talented producers. We chose to remix Fire In The Sky because we noticed there weren't a lot of submissions for this track and we also genuinely enjoyed the original. 

We took a sort of heavier approach to this track with a hint of poppy elements with some dark synth tones. The synth sounds that were not apart of the stems we used were recorded from our Roland AX EDGE as well as our Korg Minilogue. The Midnight - Fire In The Sky (The Shores of Orion Remix)

This track was something I put together while I was messing around with my TASCAM Porta Studio. This is the unmolested version of the track without any tape noise or flutter. While I do like Lo-Fi stuff I felt that this track would not benefit from any Lo-Fi goodness and sounded better as it is. Hope you all like it.

Boy it's sure been a while. 

I guess I should sort of talk a bit about where I've been and what I've been up to. I'll try to keep it as short as possible. 

After my performance at Dragon Con in 2019, I began focusing on my new Synthwave project 'The Shores of Orion'. It's a project that I've been wanting to start for several years and now we are a growing band with tons of momentum on our side. Being involved with this project has also driven me to learn to create the visual aesthetics that are known for the genre. So all of 2020 was dedicated to immersing myself into digital animation, 3D modeling & sculpting and enhancing the quality of our music. 

My Trance music productions sort of took a break which worked out because the industry took a major halt due to the pandemic. However, while I was undergoing an entirely new process of music production & sound design, it taught me a lot about mixing, mastering and just overall better quality music making. So I decided to dive back into my Trance productions. It's truly amazing how much I've learned after being in a different environment for over a year. I have at least 7 major Trance productions underway all of which are songs I've greatly worked hard on throughout the years. I will no longer settle for sending off my music to be bought & sold to small record labels that won't benefit my productions, so because of that I have sent out my Trance productions to various artists, A&R managers and djs to help me solidify the quality of my work to make sure that they are market ready. 

I had received messages from some of you asking when I am releasing my next track or when I am going to be performing again. Well I will have you know that this year is looking very promising and I plan on performing again very soon as I will be receiving the Pfizer vaccine very soon. 

That being said, here is a taste of what is to come in the future. This remix is from a track that I've loved for many years. It's actually a song that I first heard while playing one of my favorite games, Dance Dance Revolution. After hearing the track, I discovered the original artist, thus becoming a fan of Underworld. Now, that the quality of my work is where it is today, I decided to finally knock out the remix and boy am I proud of it. This is a nice, uplifting and emotional track perfect for ears and performances if you plan on Djing it. I know i'll certainly be performing it at my next shows. Thank you to everyone who had & who still supported me throughout these years, the pandemic and my musical awakening. I love you all.
