The Italian reggae band Mellow Mood formed in 2005. Over the past few years, they gained widespread recognition and became one of the most important acts of the European reggae scene.  They performed at some of the most important music festivals worldwide, such as Rototom Sunsplash (Spain), Eurockéennes (France), California Roots (USA) e Jamming Festival (Colombia). Since 2015, they run the independent record label La Tempesta Dub.

Giulio Frausin was born in Pordenone, Italy, in 1986. His latest album as The Sleeping Tree, "Painless", was released in 2013. Bassist of Mellow Mood since 2005, he is among the curators of La Tempesta Dub, reggae/dub branch of the Italian label La Tempesta. When he's not touring the globe performing at the world's largest reggae festivals, he gives life to his singer/songwriter alter ego's acoustic folk. Embracing an acoustic guitar, he toured Italy and parts of Europe performing naked and vulnerable songs. Simplicity and sensitivity unexpectedly turn into courage and strength.

One Beat Records was formed in Birmingham in 2010 by the drummer of The Charlatans, Jon Brookes and Ian Light (ex Virgin Records).

The label has a distribution deal with Believe Digital who were keen to back a new independent label that are aiming to kick start and develop emerging artist's careers. One Beat offers them great opportunities in recording environments suited to individual needs, and can help with marketing and offer contacts for gig opportunities.

The label is set up in association with the best lawyers and accountants to ensure total transparency to all of the artists concerned. After putting out our band's first few releases on One Beat, our ultimate aim is to sign our bands to bigger record labels who can offer them the financial backing they desrve.

The Music Industry has become new and exciting and offers many new challenges, resulting in artists and labels working in closer harmony.
