In a time when we are all longing for some peaceful escapism, I am thrilled to share the latest Deep Mind Music mix from my friend Dream Software. A rumination on the passage of time and the evolution of earth, his mix is an instant a teleportation to the outer realms of our imagination. Soaked in sumptuous ambience, this uplifting mix calls to mind the utopic visions found in psychedelic daydreams. By the end of this one hour and 30 minute journey, I am left feeling much brighter and more hopeful than before 🍄⛅️🌍

Whenever we hang out, Dream Software and I end up having deep metaphysical chats about the nature of reality, consciousness,  our place in the universe, the magical potential and power of music, and all sorts of other fascinating topics. I feel a kindred connection with him in our relationship with music, our constant wonderment at the world we are living in, and our shared joy at pondering the big unsolvable questions about the inner workings of reality. Alongside being a deep and sensitive person and DJ, this year he has launched the Dream Software label, and he also crafts incredible visual worlds as AJAM, which I highly recommend checking out 💙

With this mix I’ve intended to sonically illustrate the passage of time; starting with the dawn of the universe, a cold desolate expanse of meaningful nothingness (or meaningless somethingness), scattered with stars and various chemical elements waiting their turn to be of use to the big metaphysical neural network that is everything. Then, on to the point when Earth was in the perfect balance to accommodate nature, life and evolution, and moving onto the thriving, organic eco-system we call Earth. Ending with a blissful, utopian vision that not only our planet, but our very existence thoroughly deserves.

Well then ... Another of the minds behind @subsystem-transmissions - Richard Gregory. 

For us, Richard is one of the best, we’ve had the pleasure of seeing him play at a number of parties now, and he never fails to put a smile on our faces. Like the rest of the S:S chaps he’s also an absolute gem, no ego’s, just lots of very good records that’ll make you get all sorts of euphoric. We’ve been poking him to record us a mix for too long now, so when we first heard this we were pretty excited to say the least. Thirty Five from the king of pumpers.

For this mix, N3BULA (aka Natalie) has put together a re-interpretation of a club set she was set to play this month, which was unfortunately cancelled due to restrictions on dancefloors. We're fortunate enough to be able to put this mix out, so that you can re-live the big dancefloor energy that Natalie channels via this mix.

Next up on the Rave Government mix series we have N3BULA showcasing for us her recent live set for Leviate Eroa.

N3BULA is a DJ and producer from Mulubinba/Newcastle, well known for her
signature blends which incorporate dubstep, drum & bass, breaks, garage, and
techno. She’s played at top venues like Club 77, The Abercrombie and The Bridge
Hotel, and shared the stage with international acts such as Djrum, Objekt and Goth-
Trad. N3BULA also hosts Lowfreq., a passion project focused on bass-driven
sounds.
Her recent release on Naarm/Melbourne&#39;s Geotherapy label showcases a left-field,
percussive bass track that flows between serene and driving elements. She’s set to
play her first international set at Twisted Frequency Festival in Aotearoa/NZ this New
Year’s Eve, marking a new milestone in her career.

To be honest, we've been waiting to put this set out ever since we first conceptualized the idea of D Laz playing DH. Damian has been one of our favorite DJs and a constant inspiration for us over the years. He’s the only person we’ve given a 4 hour set to and he turned it into something that went down in history alongside the best sets we’ve ever seen at the fest.

The 52nd installment of our famed podcast series is coming from London based DJ, vocal techniques graduate, accomplished pianist and Crosstown Rebel signing Francesca Lombardo. Initially going under the alias Jackie Misfit whilst DJ’ing at underground clubs and parties throughout London as well as running her own imprint Echolette Records before re-earthing in her current carnation. The label boss has delivered a special exclusive mix for MEOKO to celebrate Kublicle’s seventh B-DAY. The mix plays out shifty transitions that take place throughout time and space and does not aim at phat hands-in-the-air moments but rather big silent freak outs that has you coming out of your closet dancing, possibly in sexy tights. There is an endless emphasis on deep vocals which does not come as a surprise as Lombardo is a classically trained vocalist herself who also loves to produce tracks and remixes which ooze voices and song elements. This might be one of the reasons why Francesca got picked up by Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels. The mix reflects all currents of the moment, with Francesca being the firm epicentre of the London party scene.
