Continuum: a coherent whole characterized as a collection, sequence, or progression of values or elements varying by minute degrees.

We take off to continue our voyage joining the dots of The Continuum, and this was the time our mission gave in to the pull of a force that, since day one, has been beeping in our sonic radar and marked as a ‘not to miss’. We explore total outlandish territory here with a unique selector that challenges genres, labels, and preconceptions. We salute Josephine’ Soundscapes.

Josephine’ Soundscapes is the moniker of Jose Salas, an audiovisual creator, art director, and active promoter of alternative culture in Madrid. When it comes to music, he has been an active participant in shaping Madrid’s underground electronic music scene for over 20 years. Founder and collaborator of many musical and cultural projects over the years, his current ones include Campos de Marte, an expanded radio project dedicated to experimental music, and the curation of Temple, a series of listening sessions at Espacio Perpendicular.

And that would be an “official” glimpse at his resume. But the gravity magnet of Josephine’s musical choices gets out the personal in me.

And CHOICES here is the word. Because what makes Jose’s sound impossibly unique is his brave choices. Placing himself in the crossroads of experimental, ambient, avant-garde and electronics is not a chance. His landing space has enabled him to explore, what I believe, is his superpower: a keen eye for mega-bold selections. He embodies the concept of “the sound you didn’t know you needed” and does so to an extreme. I have never heard stylistic picks like his ones, but the resulting collage often conveys a similar something: anachronistic sounds that bring psychedelia of past times. A touch of absurdism. Contemporary WTF-ism. A mastery of the surreal. And, having been lucky enough to attend to a couple of his in-person rituals, his takes always blow minds, make audience connect with each other, smile in joyous disbelief, and ask “are we really listening to this, right now, and works so well?”. 

What we present today for the next chapter in The Continuum is the re-recording of his set for a dreamy event put together by Mostra and Introspective Electronics in London. A special selection focusing on women, as the event took place on the 8th of March. Get ready for a take on psychedelia like you have never heard before. And welcome to a musical world not bound by space or time, where anything and everything can fit, and where the master selector will pick the most unexpected. Welcome to Josephine’ Soundscapes.

Today, we’re thrilled to welcome Mohemann to the series - a gifted artist and curator who has been a vital force in nurturing Beijing’s underground electronic music scene for over a decade.

Last year, we had the pleasure of witnessing Mohemann deliver a stunning techno set at Astral Industries' 10th anniversary celebration in Osaka. Now, he steps away from the dance floor to guide us on a beautiful, introspective journey - an immersive, horizontal trip through sound.

Madrid-based DJ and producer Alfonso Pomeda, aka F-on (@f-ondj), is renowned for his experimental sound, blending dub, ambient, and experimental music. Founder of the Alpenglühen project and co-owner of Antimatter, he and his team run the club and festival Espacio Perpendicular, curate Barcelona's Mostra Festival and Les Chaos Ambiants, and perform at top global venues like Paral·lel, Vurt, Laut or Gare. His vinyl DJ sets take listeners on a rhythmic, dreamlike journey.

Maharam is an American DJ and co-organizer of Final Passage, a Brooklyn-based event series emphasizing leftfield curation across both club and deep listening environments. Maharam's affinity for deeper sound is rooted in the melancholic landscapes of his Pacific Northwest upbringing, as well as his background as a guitarist and jazz vocalist. After moving to New York seven years ago, Brooklyn's rich DIY scene has been central to his life, acting as a constant source of inspiration and connection. In his mix for Oslated, Maharam shares a carefully crafted meditation through emotive ambient, dub techno, and textural electronics.

 This album tracks explore complex, often fragmented themes concerning technology, identity, and global socio-political realities. The track "Barueri - Cairo - Lille.wav" discusses economic struggles, political unrest (like the Yellow Jackets), and the hope for attracting listeners to experimental artistry sounds, alluding to a "psychotic surge" and "renegade master." "Sangue e Santo.wav", written largely in Portuguese, references Afro-Brazilian religious syncretism, social violence, and survival in a context marked by historical wounds and racial dynamics, stating that "secretismo não foi escolha, foi sobrevivência" (secrecy was not a choice, it was survival). "The journey of digital ancestors.wav" integrates ideas about cryptocurrency, the blockchain, and ancestral spirits living in science, framing consciousness and heritage within the context of digital technology and AI.
