Parisian imprint Taapion Records, co-founded by Shlømo, AWB and PVNV, launches into 2019 with a collection of ravey heaters from Brussels based artist Hadone via his ‘Defining Persuasion’ EP, which features the gritty, melodic and high-energy techno anthem 'How To Fake Success'.

"Number 13 is at the center of many superstitions, some consider it to bring bad luck. We at Rave Or Die believe instead that number 13 always delivers happiness, success and even ecstasy to the mass. In particular when it gathers altogether two heavyweights from the Dance music culture on the label’s thirteen release. On A side we find Self Refelktion Boss Stranger in an acidic distorted exercise, injecting on “Motief” the perfect balance between pounding techno beats a la 90's Axis release and Woody McBride 303 loops and a little " je ne sais quoi " to make you jump on the Dancefloor. On the flipside, ROD mastermind fates the heavy artillery with “Shut Up And Dance”, a nod to the now defunct and eponymous mythic Rave London label. To celebrate its landmark 20th release, Monnom Black invites you to enter The World of Monnom Black II – a return trip to techno's most uncompromising landscape. The triple vinyl release features 14 hand-picked contributions from the label’s trusted collaborators alongside cutting-edge artists new to the roster; making this compilation one of the label’s most varied and innovative collections yet.

On The World of Monnom Black II, new artists including VTSS, DIMI (AnD), Vladimir Dubyshkin, Hadone, Fractions, LDS, Aahan and Buried Secrets all throw down tracks which fuse tight machine rhythms with intricate detail. There's also a return for many established label favourites such as UVB, Dax J, Zanias and Thomas P. Heckmann as Knarz.

To round out the compilation there’s a re-release of the timeless 1998 cut, “Devious Methods,” from legendary artist, Hive, and Tellurian’s hardcore classic, “Big Bad City,” gets a new mix from Dax J.

This release further confirms Monnom Black’s reputation for representing raw analogue music and cements the label’s place as the home of some of the roughest and classiest contemporary sounds in techno.

Founded in October 2017 and known in first place as a party series in Essen, The Third Room expands its spectrum with their debut as a label and mastering studio as well. Those three disciplines going hand in hand and forming our vision as a creative collective. Creating, crafting and sharing the passion that drives us.

After a bitter series of event cancellations caused by the corona pandemic we had to find a way to overcome this financial crisis which has put lot of people in a difficult situation who are driven by love and dedication for what they do. In first place we wanted to give all ticket buyers who waived their refunds for the cancelled The Third Room x Bassiani event at UNESCO World Heritage’s Mischanlage a “thank you” gift in form as a Fundraiser Compilation. We wanted to preserve what we have built up over the years at our home base. Because we do believe that the Mischanlage is maybe the most aesthetically-techno place we’ve ever seen.

We, the founders Ahmet Sisman & VNNN., reached out for artists we have invited on our events, build up a strong relationship and sharing the same ambition for what we stand for. Not only regular guests such as Dax J, Ellen Allien or SHWD & Obscure Shape who have accompanied us over the years, but also new friendships have risen up with artists like Henning Baer, Héctor Oaks or Markus Suckut. Or collectives such as Lebendig, R-Imprint, Brutalism, Purify and Acid Wave Records. It is safe to say that we have our own special story with each artist on this compilation and it shows once more that music unites us in these hard times. If you like what you hear, buy the music, support the artists and the local scene. Everyone who has held their T3R x Bassiani Tickets will get a download link of the compilation.
