ABOUT THE ARTIST:

The sound designer, music producer and multi-instrumentalist, Sérgio Walgood, is a well known name in the worldwide chillout music scene Music producer and DJ with 15 self releases and tracks on many compilations around the globe.

Walgood currently develops projects that involve chillout, techno and psytrance music. He is one of the magicians behind the band OCO and also runs the projects Random Mode, Angular Momentum and coordinates the acclaimed Chillout Stage of the ZNA Gathering Festival.

Evan Bartholomew – better known as Bluetech – is putting life back in music. His five track EP Cosmic Dubs holds fast to the idea that words can be misconstrued, but music can be passion, energy, and connectivity. The act of listening becomes meditation, and

In the way Joseph Campbell united cultures across time and space with his Power of Myth, Australia's Kalya Scintilla celebrates the ancient mythologies that connect humans across all walks of life. Bringing narrative back into the electronic music world, Scintilla's desire is to not only inspire fans with his wildly imaginative soundscapes, but bring an element of performance and storytelling into his live shows and studio work that hearkens back to our primal ancestors sharing their knowledge of the world as they huddled around campfires.

Here's what Eve Olution, Kalya Scintilla's partner in the creation of the Open Ancient Eyes mythology, had to say about the album:

Weaving myth into the fabric of this music, Kalya Scintilla takes this concept album to new heights in offering multi-layered depth and intentional precision on every level. The story begins with a voice calling to us to remember something we have forgotten; as each song begins we find rich tapestries of musical architecture to explore the landscapes from all around the world. Africa, India, Asia, and many more to paint the pictures of something rooted within us from our past all awaiting us to reclaim. Each song playing out like a fragment of ourself spread across the planet as we travel down each one like a pathway leading to a greater knowing. This album invites us into our imagination and asks us to journey inwards towards the calling to enter the temple of our heart and Open Ancient Eyes.

Eve Olution, along with famed digital artist and longtime Tipper collaborator Johnathan Singer, will join Kalya Scintilla the road this fall as he brings this story to life. Dates along the west coast, into the midwest, and down to the southeast over the next few months will allow more fans to find themselves immersed in this new sonic paradigm.

"Stella's Theme" tells the story of an impossible miracle—out of zombie love, somehow a zombie kid is born. It's the tender moment in this undead saga where all the back alley affairs and unfaithful wanderings lead to something unexpectedly beautiful. Stella represents hope in a world of decay, proving that even zombies can create life (or whatever passes for life in their rotting world). The theme captures that bittersweet realization that miracles are possible, even in the darkest corners of the zombie apocalypse. It's the emotional heart of the EP—where all the sinister elements give way to something genuinely touching and strange.

Specifically, we wanted to track our favorite artists, search upcoming local area events, and listen to music samples from a variety of electronic music genres.  We wanted to visit one website for all of our electronic music informational needs.  The Untz was created to fill this void.

The Untz connects the entire electronic music community of fans, artists and promoters.  The website is designed to allow artists and promoters to add information and music.  We organize all of this information so fans can easily search for, track, and share it.
