In the near future, reality is an ugly place and a generation of virtual reality addicts spends most of their time in virtual environments satisfying their online impulses, without any contact with reality and surviving just to sustain their virtual existence. But such a level of escapism triggered serious side effects, and as people began to delve into these new realities, a growing number of neurological disorders have emerged. Today, virtual reality is marching into the mainstream, but questions about its long-term effects remain. In Dysmetria, Phouz explores the daunting potential of this next technological revolution with two pearls of dystopian techno. The EP also features brilliant remixes by Paulo Foltz, Be_bop and Kalmakorj.

Em um futuro próximo, a realidade é um lugar feio e uma geração de viciados em realidade virtual passa a maior parte do tempo em ambientes virtuais satisfazendo seus impulsos on-line, sem qualquer contato com a realidade e sobrevivendo apenas para sustentar sua existência virtual. Mas tal nível de escapismo desencadeou sérios efeitos colaterais, e à medida que as pessoas começaram a mergulhar nessas novas realidades, um número crescente de transtornos neurológicos surgiram. Hoje, a realidade virtual está marchando para o mainstream, mas as perguntas sobre seus efeitos de longo prazo permanecem. Heavy hitter Maksim Dark joins the Bassic Records family with ‘Never Look Down’. An immeasurable enormity embodies the energies of this release, delving deep into the fathoms of techno. In Bassic Records style, listeners are met with a bevvy of driving progressive tech, psychedelic soundscapes and finesse in experimentation.

Gearing up with the grinding Maksim style, his gnarly sound design and distinctive production set the bar high for what follows. Then Brazil born, Melbourne based Gabriel Moraes takes the reins with a certified banger. Melbourne’s EEEMUS draws a dynamic interpretation “with teeth” - a brain scratching piece fitted with an extraordinary unexpected breakdown. The release’s second Australian native Käse Kochen conjures a powerful composition with staunch dancefloor directed components. Closing the release is Russia’s Auturo, presenting sinister atmospheres in fearsome deep tones.
