The second of two compilations collecting the work of Afternoons In Stereo, brought together to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the debut Afternoons In Stereo album, RETROSPECTIVE puts the focus on the dancefloor and the EDM side of the artist's output. Featuring tracks that span the entire catalogue the collection takes in electro-funk, disco, house, nu-latin breaks, drum & bass, and ambient downtempo. While aspects of the jazz- influence on the producer are never far away, we hear a harder edge to the productions collected here -- work more inline with the nightclub than the lounge. RETROSPECTIVE presents an opportunity to hear work by the producer that, when collected side-by-side, reflects a very specific aspect of his musical intent.

14 tracks in all including two brand-new tracks, exclusive to this release, as well as two Alternate Mixes of tracks from the vaults. Also in the playlist is the YouTube hit SOUL SUGAR, the video for which has garnished over 6 MILLION HITS since it's release two years ago!! It continues to be an astonishingly popular track and video, and shows no signs of slowing down!

"99 is already in the corner of the room in the shadows waiting for the chance to complete part 1 of the contract. Placing the steaming food tray on his table, he drops himself into the already sunken seat of the old musty chair causing it to creak and blow a cloud of dust into the room. 

99 has had her arm extended at the point he entered the room, pointing at the vacant chair waiting for him to sit, gambling with herself in her head to see if he lands in the spot she pointing her polished side arm at. 

Her jaw is working overtime at the now turned into gum gobstopper. A bubble is slowly expanded from her mouth and at the pop of the gum bubble 99 pulls the trigger as his head falls into her sights."
