THF Radio is a radio station located in the former gatehouse at Tempelhof Airport. An experimental space and mouthpiece for citizens, artists, musicians, creative people and initiatives. We are part of the TORHAUS at Tempelhof Airport. THF Radio is intended as an experimental forum: we want to address the airport and its history and give artists in the city a platform.

For this month's episode of the @hightempoberlin show @aezron invites back @bethalana during her recent trip back to Berlin for a live B2B session in the Tor Haus studio trailer. At the start of the show, Aezron plays some tracks in relation to current events then the pair run through multiple styles of UK bass music that they know well and love. The High Tempo Show will be back on THF next month with more special guests.

@aezron @bethalana @aaronovsky and a dub siren go in for 2 hours. The three well-seasoned DJs go b2b2b through a wide range of bass music in a variation of tempos in what turned out to be a forward and unique session.

For this episode of the @hightempoberlin show @aezron Invites @pjbridger & @zenadj

In the first hour of the show, Aezron delivers a 2000-2002 era 2-step vinyl-only set, pirate radio style with lots of crackles and and a distorted mic.

In the Second hour of the show, the first guest Pj Bridger jumps in the mix playing a lot of his own exclusive dubs. Pj is an artist who needs little introduction in the UKG scene and their tracks are played by the likes of Four Tet, Fred Again, and Skrillex. Pj came through with half an hour of power to warm up for his set for Operate at Paloma later that evening.

In the last half an hour of the show, it was a huge pleasure to have Zena lay down a massive genre fluid bass set to perfectly close what had already been a heavy session in true high-tempo fashion!

For this installment of the @hightempoberlin show, @aezron is joined in the studio by Dasha Atom (@user-626704018). Their paths crossed at various events through mutual friends, leading to the discovery of a dynamic synergy behind the decks during their practice sessions. Recognizing this electric chemistry they decided to play a radio set together ahead of them both playing for Operate at Paloma on 15/12/23.

Hailing from Kyiv, Dasha Atom is not only a DJ but also an event producer and activist. Before the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Dasha contributed to the production and booking teams at K41. Following a relocation to Berlin, they started to work for the Temporary Secretary agency. Presently, Dasha is deeply involved in event production alongside activist groups Vitsche Berlin and Bass Resistance. Always pushing the boundaries of their DJ skills, Dasha embraces a diverse range of styles continually experimenting and evolving their sound.

Hailing from Vinica, a small town in East Macedonia, Mihail P (@mihailpetrovski) is part of a new generation of artists re-forging a vision of classical techno in their own mould. A student of Architecture and Design in his mid twenties, he grew up with sounds of Vangelis, Kraftwerk, Jean Michael Jarre, Pink Floyd emanating from the home stereo – which has no doubt played a part in shaping the resonance of his musical taste.

After discovering the sounds of UK and Detroit Techno courtesy of Timeline Radio and the Estimuloshow, over the last couple of years he’s struck solid links and friendships with Paul Rimbaud from Distant Worlds, Domenic Cappello and Verdant boss Andy Green who have all played a part in giving him a platform to develop his sound. In turn, exposing him to ever increasing circles and genres of music that he likes to immerse himself in. Between his studies and making music, Mihail likes to draw, especially using black and white ink – having found his way with the technique from quite a young age – it’s a hobby he also likes to indulge as much as he can.

Alongside the drawing, he does a lot of graphic design as a freelancer. As he puts it: “I’m a sucker for a good conceptual design, and am really into beautifully crafter records with sleeve art”.

Giving Chase is Hudson Valley-based musician and DJ Scotia's debut solo release on Acid Camp Records. The six-track record is a high-femme hardware journey filled with jacking rhythms, swampy acid lines, and coquettish vocals. The EP opens with a pairing of feverish acid jackers "Who Really" and "Time 2 Work." "Pillow Priestess" and title track "Giving Chase" are expressionistic grooves that explore the ups and downs of sex and romance. "Love To Hate It Too" is a cheeky love letter to acid-house culture, and Otodojo's remix of "Time 2 Work" puts the original track through a kaleidoscope of bass rhythms and textures.

Scotia co-promotes the party Community Rave Network, a monthly queer-centric event that prioritizes classic rave values of music-first ecstasy. She began buying vinyl, DJing, and making tracks while living in Brooklyn in the early 2000s. After moving back to her hometown, she began promoting parties as Outpost 1 that supported regional club sounds—making connections with Brooklyn's UK Bass upstarts Turrbotax and the ballroom scene's Mike Q. In 2011, her work in the music industry went on hiatus, returning in 2022 and since then performing at Wrecked, The Bunker, and at renegade raves and clubs down the East Coast.

Their namesake record label launched in 2020. Avid record and audio enthusiasts, Paul is also an art director and Barbie writes and performs music with various projects.
