Mapping is a show about discovering the musical world centered around a track Linda (bb:fm) or Pascal (paschko) pick for each episode. Together they dive into the samples, the labels, artists and collaborators. 

Depending on the chosen song, the show can either be a detailed exploration of its immediate surroundings, or it serves as a starting point for a journey, navigating from one node to the next, delving deep into connected artists and genres. Either way,  a mapping of the title track is given.

The title alone: it seems to refer to a member of the Branch Dividian cult and the Waco massacre. Eerie! Don't worry, we'll focus on the music in this one. Like the label that released this masterpiece, Warp Records, how it contributed to bleep techno and IDM.

P.S.: One of our favourite producers (back in the days) was with us in the studio and said: "I don't know if I could be friends with somebody who didn't like BOC..." Could you!?

We are starting this episode of with Pascal's favorite track off of Matthew Halsall's latest album. Halsall was hardly on anyone's radar before his first album (on his own Gondwana imprint) in 2008. What has he dabbled in since then? What is his music influenced by? From there, we'll take a musical plunge into spiritual jazz. Enjoy this very easy-on-the-ears episode.
