He explored the depths of 90's Berlin Dub- and Technoscene, the Electro-Swing revival in Paris/France and Brighton/England as well as the downtempo and indigenous sounds from all over the globe. During his travels he has discovered many more musical impulses which shaped his life along the years. Today his music is reflecting all these experiences, enchanting his listeners with a combination of highly curated and unique tracks in timeless sets, transcending boundaries of tempo, genre and style, to overcome the boundaries, to get lost in the waves of sound, to float in all its colors and to dive into the new.

Hailing from Copenhagen Denmark, Disfunctional Disco has been a key player in the Copenhagen house scene for many years now, both as a DJ, playing all venues in Copenhagen, and around the world, alongside many of the top names in the scene, but also as one half of Kulturshot, who has brought many legendary parties to Copenhagen, Geneva and Paris. Teaming up with long time friend Be Svendsen, working alongside his team, he has a stronger bond than ever to the music scene.

He has released music on labels such as Resopal Schallware, TB records and Mikelle records. His music and his DJ sets are journeys into the deep, trippy and sexy side of housemusic, always with the party and the crowd in mind, you are sure to have a blast on the dancefloor!!

For the 4th instalment of our Do Not Sit podcast series , we welcome UK based duo Fluida.  
Their breadth of sound connects deeply with people both in the early evening and at those special moments in the early hours of the morning.
Fluida’s unique live/DJ set continues to set them apart, incorporating the steel pan ‘hang drum’ featured on many of their tracks. This live instrument in the DJ booth offers a unique energy and an immediate connection with the audience.
The pair regularly share their eclectic tastes through radio slots on Bloop London and Ibiza Sonica Radio  and naturally we are proud to have yet another mix to deliver from these lovely gents!

Here is the set I played at Zum Brennenden Bären, a regional burn organised by the Berlin Burners at Schloss Beesenstedt. It was my third time playing at the castle and a big honour to be selected out of a long list of DJs. It was also my first burn without a single drink.. which was the best decision ever. I managed to connect so much more with other people, had tons of energy the whole weekend, smiled and laughed endlessly with my dear friends, in particular my spirit animal Paris. 

Big up to Elias Doré who played before me and Audiophil who played after me. Big thanks to the organization and all the volunteers, workshop organizers and everybody that showed up and danced in those early hours. Love you all!! <3

I feel like some transitions could have been smoother, and I did some things I usually never do (playing 2 tracks by the same artist in a row :o ) .. but the vibe was just so beautiful, that none of that really mattered.. Kevin Huizing AKA Budakid is a Berlin based music producer/dj. Coming from a very musical family, it was only a matter of time before young Budakid started playing an instrument of his own. As a drummer in a drum ensemble, the soon-to-be producer/dj got his first taste of beats and he wanted more. Having a good sense of rhythm helped him as a fledgling dj. Before long, Budakid landed his first residency in one of Utrecht’s most popular clubs. Although he wasn’t of legal age, several clubs asked him to perform and Budakid showed his promise by measuring up to peers twice his age.

But as it happens with a lot of dj’s, only dj’ing wasn’t enough for his own musical output. So Budakid sought out to prove his worth as a self-taught producer. Influenced by the likes of Joris Voorn, Stimming, Trentemøller and acts such as Massive Attack, Radiohead and Caribou, the Dutchman developed a very melodic style of his own. A typical Budakid song has floating melodies, the right set of chords and some strong, energetic vibes all mashed together. All this made him a crowd favorite at festivals like Tomorrowland, Fusion Festival, Sonar Festival, Feel Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event and SonneMondSterne and clubs such as Katerblau (DE), Sissyphos (DE), Watergate (DE), Cafe D’anvers (BE), Thuishaven (NL) and Melkweg (NL).

His music has been already supported by heavyweights such as Sasha, Joris Voorn, Guy J, Kölsch and Deadmau5. That’s something that didn’t happen overnight. Budakid’s tracks have been released on respected labels like Einmusika, Last Night On Earth, All Day I Dream, Get Physical and Audiomatique. Well-known blogs and magazines including Deep House Amsterdam, FAZE Magazine and VICE’s Thump are very enthusiastic about the producer’s tracks. So it’s safe to say Budakid isn’t just another kid on the block. Already regarded as a more than reliable producer/dj by his peers, nothing stands in the way of Budakid to become one of the greats.
