This is the second release by Mark Deutsche & Musoé on Noir Music and a great follow up to their techno stomper “Push”. On “Express Yourself” the German guys have teamed up with Xenia Beliayeva who wrote and performed some lush vocals on top of the duo's hypnotic techno vibes. The outcome is an addictive journey that will have any techno crowd go crazy.

Both Andre Winter and Ernesto Ferreyra has poured their excellent production skills all over the release and made unique remixes of this beast. Andre Winter sticks to his solid techno vibes and his rock-solid sound known from Ideal Audio and Senso Sounds.
Ernesto Ferreyra cleverly turns the journey a lot deeper, layered and dubby spaced out.

Spanish artist Lopezhouse takes flight on Mude Tod - his dirtybird debut.  It’s a highly mixable techno track with dark melodic undertones perhaps referencing “Der Mude Tod” (The Weary Death.)  But the emotive melodic build throughout is anything but weary.  Its a huge track that has been getting incredible reactions all across Europe and North America when Claude has been dropping it toward the end of his sets.  

A post punk attitude - inspired perhaps by the likes of LCD Soundsystem and Depeche Mode - is further refined and mixed with a heavy kick drum and the sublties of old school Detroit techno.  Dirtybird is always stretching out and finding new sounds to champion and this is yet another surprising evolution from the trailblazing imprint.

For Maeve’s eighth outing it has enlisted the talents of long time friend Ed Davenport. The record grew from a chance hearing of some new material at Ed’s studio one night and after a brief discussion it was decided that the tracks would find a fitting home at Maeve. 

Although recently more known for his harder techno releases under the moniker Inland, Silver Walks is some what a return to Ed’s roots. Slower, emotive, more contemplative tracks, recorded over a pretty short period of focused studio time.

'Silver Walks' is a synth-led jam. The arpeggiator holds pride of place as the centre of the tune with filter tweaks complementing its progression. 'Kuromaku' has a tougher attitude - heady and cosmic with a deep kick. It means 'black curtain' in Japanese.

We first came across Jordan Poling's production when he shared a split release on L.A.G with the Point Break guys back in 2014. Prior to that, he had already contributed a track for Fred P's label Soul People Music under the name JD, but the Jordan alias seems to be what he's devoted his attention to the last couple of years. Having relocated from the midwest to New York City some time ago, he's been a regular employee at Brooklyn's Halycon record store whilst also holding a collaborative residency with Cory James at Bossa Nova Civic Club. A musical college of sorts, the combination of the two has resulted in some impeccable mixing ability and an impressive series of releases the last few years, which we highly recommend going back through and listening to. His newest release sees him launching his new label Division Point Industries, which comes spawned off the back of the aforementioned residency. The first outing comes as another newly launched project, in the form of a collaboration with fellow producer Tin Man, under the alias Rolling Ones. Tin Man's acidic melodies and Jordan's deep, resonating house are a brilliant match and we're able to have a full stream of one of our favourites cut from the release. With each of the four tracks on the EP named after classic cars, "Faded Delorian" is a delicate and slow-slung affair that's suited for those much needed breaks from peak time records.

Known for mutations of her own, MAGDA, the Berlin resident DJ and producer, brings her influences and creations full circle in this runway soundtrack act SHE’S A DANCING MACHINE. Through over thirty tracks of classic and fresh as hell dance burners, the selection and style is reflective yet reactive to what “minimal” music and mix albums ought to create. From robotic hustles to disco house sprinkler moves and electro-tech windmills, Magda turns the years back to phuture.

Equal parts perspiration and inspiration, SHE’S A DANCING MACHINE delivers with micro-edits, custom loops and lofty effects, born out of her DJ ascension from beating the bits out of her Final Scratch in clubs. The mix has the range you’d expect with top shelf artists included such as Metro Area, Ricardo Villalobos, Marc Houle and Robert Babicz and sets up some surprises from decades past by dropping in Larry Heard and Portion Control. Amongst personal favorites from The Persuader (Svek’s Jesper Dahlbäck) she’s not afraid to loop in her own productions from Minus and her new label (along with Marc Houle and Troy Pierce), Items & Things.

Having remixed Jozif’s “Twilight” for John Digweed’s “Live In London” opus and played at the Bedrock anniversary party where the live recording was made, Spain’s Edu Imbernon has already demonstrated a brilliant ear for pulsating house music. Now, he returns, having teamed up with fellow Spaniard Triumph, with “Veranoski” - another haunting masterclass in dancefloor dynamics.

Edu Imbernon is a great example of how a young artist can quickly make their mark on the electronic scene, his worldwide hit - “El Baile Alemán” (produced with his friend Coyu), was lauded as "Best Underground Track of the Year" by Beatport in 2009. Since then, he has continued his steady ascent up the ladder towards house music stardom, with quality remixes for the likes of The XX and Maya Jane Coles, amongst others. His productions have featured on notable labels like Get Physical, Noir Music, Trapez, Great Stuff, Diynamic, alongside his own Eklektisch label. He's also resident for Kehakuma at Space, Ibiza.

The superb remix of “Veranoski” comes from another of Spain’s finest – Henry Saiz – whose outings on Bedrock are always exceptional. Henry's critically acclaimed “Balance 019” album, released in 2011, was the catalyst for his star potential explode around the globe. His superb collaboration with Guy J (“Meridian”) and his solo track (“La Marea”) for the landmark Bedrock 100 release, were of the highest level of quality and his “Cryptozoologist EP” (BEDDIGI27) was one of 2012’s highlights. Here, his remix of “Veranoski” once again proves Henry Saiz is undoubtedly one of the most extraordinarily talented young producers around.
